3 Days Later

Brielle POV

We have a lead on where Nevin is and we're heading to the house where he is.

We all suited up and got in the cars.

As we're driving there, Derek is talking to me to make sure I'm okay and that I'm ready for this.

Me: I'm ready to put his ass away for life.

They pulled up and the building was surrounded.

An officer walked over to us.

Officer: He has a hostage and is only willing to talk to Brielle.

Me: Okay. I'm going in.

Aaron: Brielle, are you sure?

Me: Yeah.

I pulled my gun and started heading towards the house where he was.

The door was unlocked so I went straight in.

He was in the living room and he had a woman and her daughter in there.

Nevin: Well look who it is. The bitch that started it all 10 years ago.

Me: Let them go Nevin. You don't want to hurt them.

Nevin: You're right. I don't want to hurt them. I want to hurt you.

Me: Then let them go.

Nevin: Put your gun down and then I'll let them go.

Me: I can't do that. You gotta let them go first.

Nevin: No. Put your gun down first.

Me: I can't do that until they're out. Once you let them go, it'll just be me and you.

Nevin: She can go.

He pushed the mother towards me but held onto the little girl.

Woman: No I'm not leaving my daughter.

Me: Ma'am please. I'll make sure she's fine.

She did not want to go but she eventually got out of here.

Me: Now you need to let her go too.

Nevin: Not a chance. She reminds me too much of you.

Me: You don't want to hurt that little girl. It's me that you want to hurt. That's why you've been doing this. Trying to hurt people who reminded you of the person you wanted to hurt the most. Me. Let her go and put the gun down so we can talk.

Nevin: I want you to tell your mother and everyone else that I raised you for those years that your father was no where to be found.

Me: I'll do that but you've got to put the gun down and let her go.

He dropped the gun and I put him in cuffs.

The little girl ran out to her mom and I walked out with Nevin in cuffs.

I handed him off to the officer then walked over to my team.

JJ: You okay Bri?

Me: Yeah. I'm good.

We went back to the station and they had to question him.

They had him in the interrogation room and we were watching through the glass.

Nevin: I will only talk to my daughter. Where is she? BRIELLE! BRIELLE!

I looked down and ran my hands over my face.
