Taegan’s POV,

*bell rings*

I slammed my notebook shut and headed for the door. I stopped by my locker and grabbed a few things before heading towards the gym, (This where I last saw her). I peeked into the gym, no sign of anyone. I slowly walked in and went over to the bleachers. I looked around for a note that Jane might have left for me or any clues that might tell me about her whereabouts. No such luck. I sat on the bleacher to catch my breath and I noticed there was a basketball nearby.

‘Thats odd,’ I thought. I dont remember seeing anyone playing basketball after leaving Jane a note. The basketball team dont have their practices during lunch period either during lunch period, so who would have been playing basketball at such an odd hour?

I grabbed the ball but stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a trickle of blood on the floor near the ball. ‘What in the world?!,’ I said.

Jane suddenly flashed in my mind. ‘It couldn’t possibly be!,’ I cried out.

Then Phillip came to mind.

(No, he wouldn’t. He’s not the type to do this! Insult and taunt maybe, but never hurt someone physically; a guy maybe but certainly not a girl!).

(But then where is she?? How is she??) I was getting worried. I glanced at my watch ‘3.30pm’. I still have time to look for her. (I’ll check the nurse’s office. Maybe she’s there!)

I dropped the basketball at the store then grabbed my bag and started towards the nurse office. I had just walked out of the gym when I heard someone calling my name.

‘Mr. Anderson!’

*turns around*

It was Mrs. Lesauvage. (Oh no, not now!)

Mrs. Lesauvage: Mr. Anderson, vhere do you think you’re going? *gives me a sharp look*

Me: Erm.. Looking for a friend? (I said nervously).

Mrs. Lesauvage: Are you forgetting something? *stares at me*

Me: (Oh the meeting!) No, of course not ma’am. I remember the meeting, 4pm at the main hall.

Mrs. Lesauvage: Come along then. I’m on my vay there as well. You can help me carry all thiz *points to a few bags*

Me: But.. I.. I’m... (I began) It’s not even 4pm yet ma’am. *stammers*

Mrs. Lesauvage: All the more reason to go to ze  main hall now. *turns around and starts walking towards the main hall*

I looked at the nurse office, (I hope she’s ok, wherever she is).

‘Mr. Anderson!’

Me: *sigh* Coming Mrs. Lesauvage!

I gathered her stuff and followed behind her towards the main hall.

*Main Hall*

I placed her bags on the seat next to where she standing and took a seat a few rows awaay from her.

*checks mobile*

Still no messages from Jane. *sigh* I sat back and tried to relax. (‘I’m sure she’ll attend this meeting. Then I’ll know what happened to her,’ I said to myself quietly. ‘I have to keep calm,’ I scolded myself).
