Jane’s POV

I walked slowly into Caper’s Park and shivered. I wrapped the jacket I had taken off in the cloak room around myself more tightly. As I stepped onto the grass, I took off my heels and just stood there for a moment. It was so peaceful here, unlike the noisy Club Mix. I didn’t like loud noises in an enclosed area; I loved going to concerts, but never being in an enclosed room with music blasting loudly. I felt a twinge of guilt for running away as soon as I got out of the toilets. Taegan and the others must be so worried about me. I was about to check my phone when I suddenly remembered I left it on the table when I rushed for the toilets. “Oh well, I’ll get back to the club soon once I’m completely relaxed” I whispered to myself. I grabbed my heels from the ground and started walking around the park. I walked until I reached a lake and sat by the huge tree. I fiddled with the ring on my finger and felt the tears streaming down steadily onto my cheeks.

How did we end up like this Harry? Why Harry? Why? I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. I noticed there was some pebbles nearby so I gathered a few and placed it next to me. I started throwing pebbles into the lake. Each pebble I threw, I would say aloud my feelings. Somehow I felt it would make me better, as if I was throwing my sorrows away. I had thrown a few pebbles when I saw a pebble flying into the lake, only it wasn’t me that did it. I turned around to see who had thrown it and saw Harry standing there behind the tree. He had this pained look in his eyes which made me feel sad. I stood up and as he cautiously took a few steps towards me, I took a few steps back. I had planned out what I had wanted to say to him earlier this evening; but that was before I saw the photo of him with Beckah. I didn’t hate her; I was just upset that Harry didn’t tell me that he just wasn’t interested in me anymore. Now I was at loss for words.

I took my heels from the ground and turned away from Harry, and walked away. “Jane please!” Harry pleaded. Please Harry, I can’t face you right now, I said to myself quietly. Once again, I felt the tears stinging my eyes as I started to run away.

Harry’s POV

I reached Caper’s Park soon enough as I had ran all the way. I glanced around nervously but couldn’t see Jane anywhere. I felt a shiver run down my spine as the evening breeze greeted me. Normally I had my jacket with me, but I couldn’t find in the cloak room; it just disappeared. I guess someone took it by mistake, I said to myself quietly. I looked around for a girl in a dress but there was not a soul in the park. I was about to go back and get the others when I heard small splashes in the lake. I followed the sounds and saw a figure throwing pebbles into the lake. Could it be Jane? I thought bewilderedly. I walked slowly towards the figure, careful not to make a sound. When I had a clear view, I gasped. It was Jane! I felt my heart breaking. She looked like she had been crying as I could see dried mascara on her cheeks and her face was flushed. Her eyes looked dark and sullen, and her beautiful smile was now a frown on her pretty face. What have I done Jane? I wanted to shout her name, but I had a feeling she would run away from me so I took a few more steps closer and took a pebble. I threw it into the lake and waited for her reaction. It didn’t take long as she immediately turned around.

I bit my lip to keep myself from crying when I had a clear view of her face. I could hardly recognize her. She stood up as I took a few cautious steps toward her. I saw the pained expression in her eyes and I desperately wanted to hug and kiss her. I had missed her so much! But as I drew closer, she took a few steps back. Please don’t go away Jane, I thought, please let me explain. She grabbed her heels and started walking away. “Jane please!” I pleaded. Don’t let me go Jane, I’ll explain everything, don’t leave! I said to myself quietly.

She started running away so I chased her. I will not let her go that easily.
