Jane’s POV

“Phew!” I exclaimed and sat on the floor. Why does my luggage seem like it got heavier? I didn’t do much shopping the whole time I was here. Lynndra had come over to help with my packing and had just gone to the kitchen to grab us some snacks whilst I carried my last luggage down the stairs. Mr. Brown said that my flight was at 10pm, but I knew it couldn’t hurt if I just brought my entire luggage down now; though Lynndra beg to differ. Mr. Brown had gone out for the day, but promised that he would be back in time to send me to the airport. Lynndra reappeared from the kitchen with Mrs. Brown. “I still don’t get why you have to bring down your entire luggage down and pack so early now” Lynndra said giving me a look. I shrugged and stood up. “So Jane, what’s your plan for your last few hours here?” Mrs. Brown asked. I was incredibly lucky that she and Mr. Brown weren’t at all mad about me spending the night at One Direction’s place last weekend. They didn’t tell my parents as well, I told them myself the following day after I got back from their place. My parents weren’t exactly too pleased to hear it, but they trusted me, so they didn’t say too much on that matter.

“I don’t really know Mrs. Brown. I’d probably just spend the rest of the day walking around town, giving it one last look” I replied. Lynndra coughed and I shot her a look. I knew she was up to something as she hadn’t been going out with me much, when she knew it was my last week here. Whatever they were planning, I hoped it would be kept simple. I missed Harry as well; I hadn’t seen him since last weekend. Right after breakfast that day, Lonardo sent all of us home. Thankfully, none of the girls knew about me falling asleep by the fireplace with Harry, I wouldn’t know how to explain it to them. “Well Jane, just remember to be back here by 8pm okay? So we’ll have ample of time to reach the airport and check you in. If you’re leaving now, don’t forget to lock the door” Mrs. Brown said. I nodded and she headed back into the kitchen. I gestured towards Lynndra and we grabbed our bags from the living room and left the house. We walked down into town while munching on the chocolate chip cookies Mrs. Brown had baked earlier this morning. “Mmmm. I’m going to miss this!” I said as I munched the last cookie. Lynndra giggled. We sat on a bench that was overlooking the town. I sighed deeply. This small town was so peaceful and quaint. I was really going to miss this place. “Lynndra” I began. She turned to me. “What exactly do you have planned for this evening?” I asked, giving her my you-better-tell-me-the-truth look. She didn’t respond and avoided my gaze. Great, I thought, she was keeping mum.

I had called Harry a few times this past week, but he didn’t pick up the phone nor answer my text messages. He’s probably afraid that he would spill, I guessed. I stood up and walked towards Tagazo’s Music store. Lynndra remained where she was and started dialing on her phone. Must be calling Niall, I said to myself quietly as I went into the store.

I had been coming here often these past few days since Lynndra was busy, so was Andy, Jennifer, Zaina; and Harry was avoiding me as well. Since Taegan was no longer around as well, I’ve been spending my time with Buster and at the music store. I managed to learn a few songs as well from Mitchell and Mr. Oregano. Phillip wasn’t around when I was there, which was a good thing, for him mostly. I still wanted to punch him for that shock he gave me that day. The familiar strums of the Beatles song ‘Let it Be’ greeted me, shortly by the sudden appearance of Mitchell.

“Hey Jane!” Mitchell greeted cheerfully. I smiled and waved at him. He was carrying this huge kettledrum and set it next to the display of flutes. He beckoned me over to the piano display and took a seat on the stools placed there. I took my seat opposite him. “So, what brings you here Jane?” he asked. I shrugged. “Well, I thought I’d say my goodbyes now, to you and Mr. Oregano” I replied. “What about Phillip?” he asked, smirking at me. I resisted the urge to strangle him. I stuck my tongue out at him. “I’ve said my goodbye to him a long time ago!” I exclaimed. Mitchell laughed. I bit back a smile. “I can’t believe you’re going to leave today. Time passes by so quickly” he said, he looking down at his hands. “How are things with you and Violet?” I asked, desperate to change the subject. Mitchell looked up and smiled brightly. “Great! She’s unlike other girls. She’s-” he started to say, then abruptly stopped, and blushed. “I’m really happy with her”
