Taegan’s POV

Just as I left the room after a meeting with Mr. Duke, the bell rang signaling the end of lunch period.

(Darn. I didn’t even bring lunch today. Guess I’ll just grab something after school).

As I walked to my next class Literature, I checked my mobile and saw a missed call from Jane. (I wonder why she called, I’ll ask her later in class). Just as Mrs. Lesauvage walked in, Jane burst through the doors.

Jane: *panting* ‘Im sorry, I’m late Mrs. Lesauvage,’.

Mrs. Lesauvage looked at Jane with disapproval but nodded her head and Jane quickly took her seat next to me. I turned to her.

Me: ‘What happened?’, I whispered to her.

Jane: ‘I’ll fill you in later’, she whispered back.

Mrs. Lesauvage then went on to further explain about Shakespeare’s play ‘Romeo & Juliet’ to prep us up for the play. As I hastily made notes for it, I suddenly remembered I had completely forgotten to fill Jane in about homework from last week. I groaned. (It’s due this week!). (I’ll do it for her time ‘round, I didn’t want her to get in trouble).

Just before the bell rang, Mrs. Lesauvage said she had an announcement to make to the class.

Mrs. Lesauvage: Now as the play needs plenty of timez, I suggest that ve must hold ze auditionz today!

(Is she serious? She couldn’t be right?) .

Mrs. Lesauvage: Therefore, as it iz ze responsibility of ze stage manager to attend! So, Jane I expect you to attend!

Jane merely nodded without saying a word.

As then the bell rang, I was surprised that I somehow managed to stay awake through Mrs. Lesauvage class. I waited as usual for the classroom to clear then I walked out with Jane and headed to our next class.

Jane’s POV

As the bell rang, I waited for the classroom to clear before walking out with Taegan for the next class.

(Thank goodness I managed to make into her class on time. If I had been late I would have gotten detention for sure, I thought). I can’t believe she’s holding auditions today, and she’s just told us about it, and I have to see to it. (Guess I’ll just have to cancel with Lynndra, and Harry. I’m sure they would understand though).

We stopped by our lockers to get books out and as I slammed my locker shut, Taegan turned to me.

Taegan: ‘So Jane, what happened until you were late? You’re usually petrified of being late to classes’ he said smirking.

Me: ‘Well, I kind of went on a lunch date with the One Direction members and Lynndra’.

Taegan: ‘Really? How come there was no female stampede this time?’

I shrugged. ‘They wore disguises’.

Taegan: ‘Ok, that makes sense. But how did you managed to recognize them then?’ he pressed on.

Me: ‘Harry text me’

Taegan: ‘How did Harry get your number?’

I was starting to get annoyed with his questioning, but I knew he means well so I took a deep breath before answering him.

Me: ‘I gave it to him. I met him and the others over the weekend. It’s a long story and I rather not get into it’

Taegan looked hurt when he heard me said that, so I added ‘He’s alright Taegan. Don’t worry okay? He’s a nice guy. Please don’t give him or any of them a hard time?’
