Lynndra’s POV

I took a deep breath, held it for a minute and let it out slowly. Tonight’s the night, I said to myself. Yesterday Katinka had revealed what she had done and it confirmed everything. Now all I needed to do was coax Jane to go to my party. It wasn’t a birthday party, but it was the launch of me and Zaina’s second album launch party. It was going to be held at Club Mix, and everyone that was invited was going to be there; including One Direction.

I went to the living room and saw Jane, Taegan, Andy and Zaina talking to each other. Taegan had told me that Jane’s mood was still down and that she had almost gotten herself knifed as she had made a wrong turn while looking for Taegan. I had chided him for letting her out his sight but was glad that nothing happened to her. “Keep your eyes on her next time!” I had said to him, he nodded solemnly and muttered his apologies.

“Hey everyone!” I said cheerfully as I took my seat next to Jane. Everyone greeted me back but Jane had spaced out. She was looking straight at me, but it was as if she couldn’t see me. “Jane? You there?”

Jane’s POV

I was dreading tonight; I knew Lynndra was going to ask me to go to her launch party of her second album. I wanted to go, but not if Harry was going to be there. I had finally come to terms that he’s not in love with me anymore. I had cried all day and quickly put some makeup on when I woke up so they wouldn’t see my pale complexion. It worked thankfully, I said to myself quietly. I also felt stupid, I almost got myself knifed as when I was looking for Taegan after going to the toilets. Then I thought I saw Harry as the guy had curly locks, just like him. I had followed him and managed to catch up with him. I was shocked when he turned and he wasn’t Harry. The stranger then took out a knife and was about to stab me when Taegan appeared with a police officer and saved my life.

I felt bad though, as I knew Lynndra had scolded him. I couldn’t stop apologizing to him. “Jane? You there?” I heard a voice interrupting my thoughts. I closed my eyes and opened them slowly. I saw Lynndra looking at me with a worried look on her face. When did Lynndra get here?

“Hi Lynn” I said softly. “Jane, you’re coming to the party tonight. No buts!” Andy exclaimed. I turned to her and shook my head. “No. I don’t want to, and you can’t make me” I said and stuck out my tongue at her. I knew I was being a brat, but I really didn’t want to go out tonight. Especially not if Harry was going to be there, it would hurt so much to see him there, as I knew he would ignore me.

“What would it take for you to go there?” Zaina asked. I glanced at her, then at Lynndra and then at Andy. An idea slowly formed in my mind and I was sure it would work. “I’ll go if…” I let my voice trail off. “If what?” Lynndra said, annoyed. “I’ll only go if Andy wears a dress” I said coolly. Ha! I knew Andy would object and I would be off the hook. Andy eyes widened. “Oh hell no! I would never wear a dress! Never I say! Never!!” Andy exclaimed loudly. Taegan rolled his eyes and covered both his ears.

“Deal!” Lynndra and Zaina said in unison. Wait, what? They agreed? “Wha-?” Andy said. “What deal?! Girls, you’re supposed to be on my side! I’m your designer, and you know how much I hate dresses!” Andy went on. “Taegan! Back me up will you?” But Taegan ignored her which made her angry. “Jane! Can’t I just wear a skirt or something?!” Andy pleaded. I was in shock myself; I was so sure they would just drop the matter. I didn’t expect them to go ahead with it. I shook my head. I knew Andy would object and then maybe they would drop the matter and just let me stay at home. “Andy! Just wear a dress tonight okay? Just this once! C’mon now!” Lynndra said, her hands on her hips. Andy pouted her lips. “Fine!” she said sulkily. Lynndra smiled and clasped her hands. “It’s settled then! Jane’s coming tonight and Andy is wearing a dress!” Lynndra said happily. Both Andy and I groaned.
