<112> Narrative²⁰

"How many more minutes?!" Chaeyoung's mom shouted from the kitchen. Chaeyoung who was in the living room arranging things again and again.

"Less than 30 mins left!" She shouted back. She was getting nervous, she can't stay still. She need to check everything. Her little brother was just eyeing her - getting dizzy because she moves around, a lot.

"Jeonghoon, help me here at the kitchen to prepare the food!" Her mom, once again shouted from the kitchen. Jeonghoon stood up and come at the kitchen to help serve the food her mom cooked.'

Chaeyoung came in the kitchen, helping too. It was on time when they prepared everything when they heard the doorbell rang. Chaeyoung look at her mom and brother.

"Go on and open the door" Chaeyoung heave a deep sigh and nod. Her mother caressed  her back, giving her a soothing smile - cheering her up. 

She open the door. She smile widely to hide her nervousness when she saw Mina and her parents. She hug her, tightly. 

"I missed you" Chaeyoung uttered between their hug. Mina snuggle her face to the latter's neck. "I missed you too" She uttered back.

"Ehem" Mama and Papa Myoi cleared their throat. In cue, Mina and Chaeyoung parted and Chaeyoung smile shyly at them. 

"C-come in" Chaeyoung said and gesture them to go in. She even help them to bring some luggages. 

Mrs. Son greeted them in polite way, same goes to Jeonghoon. "Mama and Papa Myoi, these are my family, my mom and my little brother Jeonghoon" She introduced them. They smile at Chaeyoung's family.

"Nice to finally meet you, it's a pleasure." Mama Myoi said, shaking hands with Chaeyong's mother. "Nice to meet you too. The pleasure is on us" 

Chaeyoung and Mina look at each other with a smile on their faces. Jeonghoon shake hands with them before proceeding to the kitchen.

The two family talk.

"So, this is where they will leave" Mama Myoi said while scanning the whole house. She was amaze how the interior design makes the whole house look and feel cozy. It was not big but not small. Enough to feet the two.

"I really love the taste of Chaeyoung" She added making Chaeyoung smile proudly. "How much is the cost if you will buy the whole house?"

"Around 70M Won" Chaeyoung response. 

Mina look at Chaeyoung, remembering their conversation they had last two weeks regarding about buying the house and not renting it.

"Have you decide?" She asked, making them look at the couple. Chaeyoung look back at Mina, frowning, deciphering what she's talking about. Mina giggled. "About buying the house"

Chaeyoung open her mouth. "Ahh...that? Well, yes. I agreed to you, buying the whole house is more convenient. We can save a lot of money." 

Mina look at her parents. A smile crept on her face, but her smile means something that made Chaeyoung arc her eyebrows. Mina gave them a nod.

Papa Myoi clear his throat, making Chaeyoung look at him. "About the house.." He pause, looking at his wife. "We decided to buy this house as a gift for the both of you-"

Chaeyoung shook her head. "No, no. You don't have to do that. I-I can pay for the house" Papa Myoi smile and shook his head.

"No. Consider it as a thank you. Thank you for taking care of our daughter and loving her...despite of what happened" 

Chaeyoung look down and sigh. "Please, just accept our offer" Mama Myoi spoke this time. Chaeyoung glance over her mom. 

She think for a while. She end up sighing, but silently. 

She face them and smile. "I should not really agreed on this because it is my responsibility. But.." She shrugged her shoulder. "Do I have a choice?" She chuckle that made them chuckled too.

"Please contact the landlord to close the deal" Chaeyoung nod her head and continue eating with them.

At the middle of their meal. Papa Myoi asked that made Chaeyoung sad.

"Where is your dad, Chaeyoung?"

Chaeyoung glance at her mom and brother, they were wearing a same smile. Mina who noticed it, held her hand under the table sending some soothing touches.

She smile, "We don't know. He left us when my mom gave birth to my brother. He...he just run away" It was a painful smile.

"I'm sorry to hear that" Chaeyoung smile wider and shook her head.

"It's nothing. It's all in the past" Mina who doesn't know about her dad, shocked. Chaeyoung doesn't open that topic and now she know the reason why.

After their lunch. Chaeyoung and Mina leave their family to have some private talk. Jeonghoon help her sister to bring the other luggages Mina have.

"I'll unpack your things. Do you want to take a bath or something you want or you crave?" Chaeyoung asked after settling her things. 

"I'll take a bath first while thinking of what I wanted to eat" Chaeyoung giggled. "Ok. Just shout my name when you need something" She nod and Chaeyoung handed her a towel and a bathrobe. "Use my clothes first while I unpack my things" Mina nodded, grabbing what she want to wear.

Chaeyoung unpack her things while Mina took a long bath for her long day. After unpacking her things, she arrange them and put Mina's personal things; like her perfume, accessories etc before coming out of their room.

"Where's Mina?" Mina's dad asked. "She's taking a long bath" She response, she noticed that they were getting ready to leave, same as her mom and her brother. "You going now?" She asked.

"Yes, we need to attend some errands about our business here Korea, another reason why we are here" He replied. Chaeyoung look at her family.

"You know the travel time is long, so we need to go now" Chaeyoung nod her head in understanding.

When Mina's done taking a bath when she went out of their room and saw their parents talking to Chaeyoung.

"You going now?" Mina's parents nod. 

After biding goodbye to Myoui's, Chaeyoung let Mina and her mom talked before biding her goodbye to them.

"Let's do some groceries?" Chaeyoung asked when she saw that they have no so much stock food on their kitchen. Mina immediately nodded, happy to hear because she can finally buy whatever she want.

"You'll buy what ever I want?" Chaeyoung nodded while smiling. "Then give me a sec, I'll change clothes" Chaeyoung nod her head and waited for her.

"Let's go?" 

"Let's go Love!" Mina cheered and couple went out to buy groceries.
