<120> Narrative²³

Chaeyoung and her family with Mina's family were on the outside of of the delivery room, waiting for Mina to give birth on their baby. Mina didn't let Chaeyoung in to be with her since she felt uncomfortable having her on her side seeing her suffer and scream in agony to deliver their baby. Chaeyoung understood that and just nervously and excitedly waiting outside of the room with their both family.

Chaeyoung look up when she heard her name being called and saw her friends smiling at her. She stood up and greet their friends. Jeongyeon pat Chaeyoung's back knowing she's nervous. "She's gonna be alright." She tell to her. Chaeyoung only nod and flash a small smile.

All their friends were present including Momo and Sana who were patiently and nervously waiting for Mina and their baby. Their friends join Chaeyoung and at the same time calming her. She's about to pass out anytime.

Their family joined them to share some talks, trying to calm themselves and also ease the feeling they had.

"You'll gonna be a parent Chaeyoung" Dahyun said. Chaeyoung smile and nod. Can't hide the happiness whenever someone told or mention her being a parent soon despite the fact she's not the real parent of Young-Shin.

"I know. And I am so happy that we will finally see him, after a long time taking care of them both. I promise to be more responsible and be good parent for him and a partner for Mina." She said, looking at them. Her eyes met their family and saw how Mina's family happy to heard that.

The conversation cut off when the door finally open. They all stood up and eyes on the doctor who's removing her mask. The doctor smile to see them all anticipating for Mina's health and successful delivery.

She smile widely and pat Mina's parents. "Congratulations, the delivery is successful." The doctor announced that made them all cheered in joy. Chaeyoung shed a tear, smiling to hear the good news.

"You will see them later after we move her to her room" The doctor added and about to left when Chaeyoung spoke.

"How about our baby? When will see him?" She asked excitedly, making her mother smile and pat her back. The doctor smile and chuckle at her.

"You will see him later." She pat Chaeyoung's shoulder before finally dismissing herself to them.

"Chaeyoung let's go to her room. Let's wait there." Chaeyoung nodded and they all turn and head to Mina's room in the upper floor.

Chaeyoung halt and stop her trail when she saw someone who isn't invited. After seeing Chaeyoung stop, they all stop as well and follow her eyes.

"Jimin..." She utter.

The guy bowed his head, afraid to meet them but muster a courage to fly in Korea and show himself. Papa Myoui step forward and before he further hurt him, Mama Myoui stop him, holding his arms and shook her head to stop whatever her husband is planning.

Chaeyoung move, slowly to his place. Chaeyoung turn her head around saw Jeongyeon held her arm to stop her as well. She remove her hand and smile. "Don't worry, I won't hurt him" She said and proceed walking to him.

"Let's all go to Mina's room?" Nayeon said to them, smiling nervously. They all agree as well as Mina and Chaeyoung's family. Papa Myoui glared at him when they pass them, her wife keep rubbing his back to calm him.

Chaeyoung await for them to disappear so they can finally talk. Chaeyoung sigh, "What are you doing here?" She asked looking at Jimin.

Jimin keep his head low, "I..I just want to see my son.." 

Hearing that makes Chaeyoung anxiety came back. She's been holding that ever since she knew about Mina being pregnant to Jimin. She hate to admit that, she hate to think the fact that the baby inside Mina was caused by him. But accepted the truth because that how she love Mina and it will never change.

"You don't have a right to see him, even Mina" She said clenching her fist. She lied, he have the right to see his son. Because his the father, the real father. Not her.

Jimin lift his face, "I know. But please let me. Let me see him even from a far." He begged and fall onto his knee. Chaeyoung look away. "Please...let me see my son. I know I'd made a mistake and you hate me because of that. But believe me, I didn't want that to happen. I'm a coward, I know and I am so sorry. I am not begging you to forgive me but I hope that someday you will." He cried. "I am so thankful that you took care of them, that you took care of my son like your own. I'm happy that Mina found you. I don't have a plan of getting them away from you, I just want to see my son."

Chaeyoung is now crying. She nod her head, "Fine, you can see him." Jimin stood up smiling at her.

"Thank you!" He want to hug her but restrain himself. He's happy of course, it's a fatherly happiness to his son and Chaeyoung can't take that away, he has a right as a father to see his son. 

Jimin was following her behind all the way to Mina's room. Chaeyoung stop and  look at Jimin, "Wait for me." She said and Jimin nod and take a seat the bench near Mina's room.

Chaeyoung peek at the door, she saw everything greeting Mina. She smile seeing Mina happy and in good health. She smile when she saw a glimpse of Young-shin, their baby. She shed her tears and look at Jimin. 

She signal him to enter. Jimin stood up and fix his clothes and even comb his hair. Chaeyoung step back and let Jimin enter the room. She didn't show herself to Mina, she can't knowing Jimin is here to see his son, their son. It still hurt her.

She stayed outside.

Everyone went in silent when they saw who enter the room. Mina's smile faded when she saw who's the person. Their friends silently went out and followed by their family.

Mina is holding Young-shin on her arms, breast feeding him. She look at her son and smile, averting her attention. Jimin slowly walk beside Mina. He sat down on the chair beside the bed.

"Mina.." He begin. "How are you?" 

"Good" She keep her eyes on their baby.

"That's good to hear-"

"What are you doing here?" She finally lift her head, looking at him directly.

Jimin fidget on the hem of his shirt. He look down, "I just..want to see him."

"You don't have right to see him-"

"I know, but please allow me. I'm still the father" Mina scoff. "You call yourself a father? You were not even happy to know that I got pregnant because of you. I don't have a right to call yourself the father of this baby. Better go out before I call the security."

"Please Mina! Let me hold him, let me see him.."

Mina gave up. No matter how much she keep denying that he have no right, but he have. The blood, the flesh runs on Young-shin's blood. He is the living witness, the angel in disguise.

Chaeyoung watch them from the outside and saw Jimin holding Young-shin on his arms. She smile bitterly, "They look good together" She whisper. She continue to witness how happy Jimin is. Not until Mina's eyes met her's.

Chaeyoung wave at her and Mina smile. "I love you" Mina mouthed and Chaeyoung replied "I love you too"

There should be fight between Jimin and Chaeyoung but I changed my mind 😂. Anyway i hope you enjoy the boring chapter.
