Chapter Nine

"Hmmm... Ang sarap!" Nakapikit matang saad ni Sophie habang ninanamnaman ang biniling chocolate and cashew nuts ice cream ni Rafael sa kaniya.

"If I'm not mistaken, yan ang favorite mong flavor sa ice cream, diba?" Rafael asked while he enjoyed watching her eat, na parang bata.

"Yes, definitely! Alam na alam mo talaga ang favorite ko," she answered, looking at him straight in the eyes. Yumuko si Rafael nang magtama ang kanilang mga mata.

Katahimikan, both ay nagpapakiramdaman...

Tumikhim si Rafael, breaking the deafening silence between them. "I hope you and Kuya are going along well with each other."

Sophie shrugged her shoulders, nang biglang maalala si Valen at nagpakawala ng isang malalim na buntong hininga. "Well, yes and no," she paused for a while thinking kung dapat bang sabihin kay Rafael. Well, she honestly answered Rafael's question anyway. "He's taking care of me naman, but often times, he bullies me! Nagmistulan akong katulong, I cook, wash and even cleaned the house imagine that Raf!" nakanguso niyang sumbong dito na parang bata. "I don't deserve to be treated like that you know!"

Tumawa lamang si Rafael sa kanyang sinabi, just as what he has suspected, strikto talaga ang kaniyang Kuya Valen pagdating sa mga gawain bahay, siya at si Alyssa  ay hindi rin nakawala sa mando ng kanilang kuya, ang matuto sa mga gawaing bahay.

It's not a big deal anyway at least they learned something even they were raised as rich kids.

Sophie raised her one brow, nagtaka siya kung ano ang nakakatawa sa kaniyang sinabi. "May nakakatawa ba Raf?" May halong pagkairita ang kaniyang boses.

"Oh no! no no! Sorry," hinging paumanhin ni Rafael sa kanya. Pinilit nitong maging seryoso at hinarap siya. Ginagap nito ang isa niyang kamay at buong sinsero siyang tinitigan, "Ganyan talaga si Kuya, but I assure you that he will take care of you. Mabait yun, trust me. He may be arrogant ang serious at times but definitely he has a good heart," mahabang lintaya nito at hinawi pa ang kanyang buhok na tumatabon sa kanyang mukha. He tucked it behind her ear. "I just hope someday you guys will find a way to learn to love each other," he smiled at her.

Pakiramdam ni Sophia ay gusto niyang maiyak sa sinabi sa kaniya ni Rafael. Ngayon napatunayan niyang wala talaga itong pagtingin sa kanya---ni katiting wala.

He even pushed her to Valen... ang sakit!

She just kept quiet, ayaw niyang magsalita, for if she'll do. She'll just end up crying, telling Rafael her true feelings.

Valen didn't find the courage to tell Milette that he got married with a minor, alam na alam niyang magwawala ito, although wala naman talaga silang official na estado sa kanilang relasyon but they both agreed that they will still be true to each other---no secrets.

He slept with different women and lost count, same as Millete, she has other flings and sometimes go out for a one night stand pero alam yun lahat ni Valen, same as her. But for sure at the end they still have the mutual feeling na sila parin ang magsasama. Weird! How insane they are!

"Pubbin tonight?" Milette asked him in a flirty voice and was supposed to kiss him, but Valen turned around to avoid that kiss that made her frown. "Any problem?"

"Ah no! I-it's just... Ahm I'm busy and I still have lots of work to tend to," nag-iwas siya ng tingin, trying to focus his attention to his paper works.

Ngunit hindi patitinag si Millete, she simply pushed the swivel chair and sat on his lap hanang ang isang kamay ay nakalabit sa leeg ni Valen, she gave him a seductive look, teasing him by playing with his tie and suddenly inch by inch their face drew nearer and nearer and claimed each other's lips.
