Chapter Sixteen

"Who's that guy?!" Parang kulog ang boses nito. His deep set eyes were full of anger, he harshly grasp her one wrist. "D*mn Sophie! Sino yung kasam mo?!"

"Teka! Y-you're hurting me Valen!" She almost cried, trying to take her hand from his grip, but he was too strong.

Kinaladkad siya nito sa loob. "Stop it! Ano ba?! Nasasaktan ako! Clarence is just a friend of mine!" She tried explaining.

"Ah really?!" Sarcasm in his voice. "So you both hugged eh? You're a married woman! Where's your decency? F*ck! I can't believe you're doing this to me?! You're cheating me?!"

Hindi siya nakatiis, agad niyang pinadapuan ang guwapo nitong mukha. "I'm not doing anything wrong, Clarence is just a friend. And f*ck you he's GAY!" she shouted at his face with equal anger.

Sandali silang nakipagtigasan ng titigan, no one was willing to raise down their flag. Hindi parin maipinta ang mukha ni Valen, looks like he's not convinced with Sophie's revelation.

"Fine! The hell with you! Kung ayaw mong maniwala," she exasperately said in defeat. She ran up to their room and slammed the door hardly. (Aww Sophie nakakabingi! Hihihihi)

"F*ck! Just f*ck!" Valen cursed in anger.

Hindi mapigilan ni Sophie ang mapaiyak, she never knew Valen could ever be hard on her like this. Miss pa naman sana niya.

A moment ago, the hugging thing with Clarence was a friendly hug that he could trust her with his secret.

"You live in a subdivision, where only rich people can afford yet I don't understand why you don't have your own car. Pansin ko kasi, you always commute," full of curiosity in Clarence's voice, while eyes were on the dark and wet road.

"Ah ayaw kasi ng asawa ko," there she just said it.

Clarence turned to her with disbelief in his eyes. He frowned and open his mouth, "you're kidding right?"

She shook her head and smiled. "No."

*Ring! Ring! Ring!*

Someone's calling Clarence, because his eyes we're focused on the slippery road he was able to answer the with a loud speaker. Kaya narinig ni Sophie ang boses ng caller.

"Hi babe," sabi nito sa kabilang linya. Sophie's eyes widened and stared at Clarence with mixed emotions of shock and questioning eyes. Napalunok ang binata.

"Hello babe, i-i'm a.. err..with a friend," Clarence nervously ansered.

"Oh I see, call me later okay? I'll be waiting for you sa pad. I miss you."

It gave Sophie goosebumps and a little bit of dismayed. How could a young man like Clarence, a handsome one, a heartthrob habulin ng mga campus girl, a varsity player waaahhhhh---a gay! She's disgusted with the though. Clarence has a boyfriend and he's waiting for him sa pad nito.

I want to puke! Sigaw ng kanyang isip.

"I miss you too, laters okay? See you bye!"

Silence...

"That was my boyfriend," bulalas nito. He was frank and honest.

Still silent.

"Hey! Say something Sophieeee," ayan lumabas na talaga ang tunay nitong kulay. Baldado talaga ang pananalita nito.

"Ah..eh... What do you want me to say?"

Pinara ni Clarence ang sasakyan sa isang tabi.

"Please! Please! I'm gay, please don't tell anyone. Baka ma-kick out ako sa team ng basketball," Clarence pleaded and hold her hands.

"I.. I j-ust can't believe you're gay," Sophie whispered. Nasasayangan siya sa binata, langya naman kasi diba! Attracted siya dito nung isang araw dahil kamukha nito si Rafael.

"I have to join the team, ka-kasi my father wants me to. He doesn't know about my dark secret," he confessed. "Pleasseee sister! I beg you!"

"Naman... Kala ko sa international basketball players lang nangyayari 'to," hindi napigilan ni Sophie ang matawa. "So you're like Lebron, a good player but a... GAY!" May pagkadiin ang pagkasabi niya ng 'gay'.

"Well sort of, well come on Sophia! Modern world na 'to! Kahit saan may gay!" He pouted, kala mo kung maka-pout ng lips ay dalaga.

"I guess tama nga, hindi lahat ng guwapo ay lalake. Looks can really be decieving," Sophie grin at Clarence.

"Tara na nga I'll make you hatid na nga! Hindi na kita papansinin kung ganyan ka!"

"Echoz! Don't worry your secret is safe with me sister!"

That's how they ended hugging each other.

End of flash back.

Naalimpungatan si Sophie sa maliliit na halik ni Valen. Nakatulugan kasi niya ang pag-iiyak nang matapos siyang maligo kanina.

"I'm sorry," Valen whispered at her ears, leaving light-feather kisses oh her chicks.

Ngunit kaagad niya itong itinulak, "I'm sorry-hin mo yang mukha mo! D*mn I hate you!" Singhal niya rito. She couldn't hide her feelings, pinaghalo ng galit at sentimiyento. Una nasaktan siya sa pagkakahawak nito sa kanyang kamay, second, gutom siya at pagod and lastly,hindi na ito naawa, basa siya sa ulan.

Basa! Could you just imagine.

"Do you really mean that?" His voice was sad, and he was waiting for an answer. Hindi siya sumagot dito. "I'm sorry... Let's be friends... I-- I don't know what came over me," he paused. "All I know is that I'm jealous! I don't want other man coming near you!"

Wow! That was one flattering, kilig feeling. Oh my Valen is jelous.

Hindi siya makapagsalita, she was just staring at him. Did she just heard him right? Nagseselos ito. Could it be that he has feelings for her, wait ang tanong may feelings din ba kaya siya rito.

F*ck that thoughts! All she knows right at this very moment that she's happy of what Valen confessed.

"W-why were y-you jelous?" That question escaped from her mouth. She wants to hear something na, basta she wants something to hear from her husband na hindi niya rin alam kung ano.

"Because..." He went nearer to her, cupping her face with his right palm.

"B-beacause w-what?" She swallowed her saliva. This is intense and exciting, "ano Valen? Ano?" Her mind's screaming.

He looked straight at her eyes, as if he's looking deep into her soul. (Aayyyiiiieee)

"Because... I. Think. I. Have. Fallen. For. You." Sinadya nitong isa-isahin ang sasabihin.

Before pa ma-sink in ang mga katagang iyon sa kukote ni Sophie, without saying a word Valen brushed his lips on her lips, slowly kissing her until she voluntarily opened her mouth to welcome him in and kissed him back.
