Chapter Twenty two

Sa buong oras nilang meeting ni Sophie halos walang naintindihan si Valen sa sinasabi nito. Sa tuwing siya'y magsisimulang magsalita ay binabara siya ng dating asawa.

Hindi niya alam kung ano ang motibo ni Sophie subalit naiinis siya dahil sinasadya ata siya nitong akitin, o baka naman nasa isip lang niya. Mas lalo siyang nainis dahil ang kaibigan niyang si Daryl ay enjoy na enjoy makipagkuwentuhan sa dating asawa.

She's  grown into a fine young sophisticated  woman, with a unvoidable charismatic personality, not to mention her good skills and intelligence that any man would look up to her and admire.

"It's nice meeting you genltemen, I'll be looking forward to visit the pineapple farm one of these days," nakangiting sabi ni Sophie sa kanila ngunit ang mga mata ay nakatuon kay Valen.

Isang malamig na titig lang ang ibinigay nito sa kaniya, kahit isang pekeng ngiti ay wala. He's not good at hiding emotions and he's  not happy to see her showing off  some skin.

"Pleasure is ours too Miss Madrigal," untag ni Daryl. "I'll be a willing volunteer to sho--"

"No," matigas na sabi ni Valen na ikinagulat ni Daryl but not Sophie, she sweetly smiled at abot hanggang tainga ang ngitng iyon. "I'll take you there. I'll be showing you the place."

"Okay then Mr. Salvador. I'll be seeing you then. Oh look at the time it's already one," kunway dismayado ang tono nito. "I'll have to go my boyfri---"

"Boyfriend?" Kunot-noong tanong ni Valen.

"Yes! Boyfriend," deadmang sagot niya.

"I didn't know you have one."

"Why would you need to know?" She smirked. "Anything to with my life doesn't  concern you Mr. Salvador."

"Not exactly as you think Miss Madrigal, I'm just well ahmmm...a little bit shock," ganti ni Valen habang si Daryl nama'y. palipat-lipat ng tingin sa kanilang dalawa---naguguluhan.

"Hahaha! I think we should end this none sense conversation. Ano ka Mr. Salvador superhero na may mentalelephaty?!"

"I wish I have." He coldly said as he glares at her.

Hindi rin patalo si Sophie, sinalubong nito ang kanyang mga titig but with a grin.

"Excuse me Ma'am," untag ni Tara.

"Yes Tara?" She asked but her eyes was still at Valen, nang-aasar ang kaniyang titig.

"Ma'am, Sir Liam is at the car waiting."

"So paano yan? til next time Mr. Salvador. I have to go." Aniya at lumabas ng naturang restaurant, walang nagawa si Valen kundi ihatid ng tingin ang papalayong dating asawa.

He's  really  pissed off. Sophie  is really  getting in to his nerves. Bakit? He doesn't  like the way she dresses!

"I can sense you both knew each other," narinig ni Valen nagsalita si Daryl sa likuran.

"Yes..." Mahina niyang pag-amin. "Remember I used to talked to you about my wife? Yung hindi ko pa na ipakikila in public?"

"Yeah." Tugon ni Daryl, and a sudden realization drew on its face. "No way! Wait! So you mean?" Bulalas ni Daryl.

"Yes she's my wife... my ex-wife..." Valen just couldn't hide the sadness  he has been keeping  inside his heart for six long years.

"So how did it go?" He asked her with crossed arms.
