Chapter Ten

"Hey!" Untag ni Freya kay Sophie nang umagang iyon sa loob ng kanilang classroom, "oh what's wrong? Bakit parang biernes santo ang mukha natin diyan?" She asked. Kitang-kita kasi sa mukha ni Sophie ang pagkabalisa at pangamba.

"Nothing," kaila niya sa kaibigan. Freya still doesn’t know about her marital status.

"Ows? Come on you can tell me," umupo ito sa tabi niya. “you can tell me… I’m your friend.”

Sophie heaved a deep sigh, she looked straight at Freya's eyes. Naninimbang pero wala naman siyang maaring masasabihan na ibang kaibigan. Nahihiya rin naman siyang sabihin iyon kay Aliyah. "I'm turning eighteen next month," she worriedly said.

"So? What's wrong with that?" Curiosity drew over Freya's face. “every girl dreams of turning eighteen. Ikaw lang ata ang nakilala kong parang ayaw mag-debut.”

"You don't understand,” paano niya ba sasabihin? “Kung dati ay excited akong mag-debut pero ngayon," she paused, threw her gaze up in the sky. "How I wish hindi na dumating ang araw na yun."

Hinagod ni Freya ang kanyang likod, trying to comfort her. "Bakit ba kasi? I don't get it? I won't understand kung hindi mo sasabihin. Come on try me…”

"Okay, but promise me this will be our secret. Okay? Can I trust you Freya?" seryoso niyang tanong sa kaibigan. Hindi dapat lumabas ang sekretong ito…ayaw niya!

"Of course you can, curse me to death if I'll break my promise," buong sinsero nitong tugon sa kanya.

"Freya..." She started, "I'm married to a twenty-eight year old man," pagtatapat niya. Freya's eyes widened in disbelief but Sophie told her everything, kung papaano niya plinano lahat na pikutin ang lalakeng minamahal at nagkamali siya ng pagpikot. How she and Valen ended up getting married, at ang sinabi ni Valen, they will officially start as husband and wife when she turns eighteen.

"Oh my god! You actually did it?!” Exclaimed Freya. Just any other normal teenagers would react on this kind of situation.

"Yeah right, because all I thought he was Rafael, pero we didn't reached orgasm anyway," she smirked. Bakit parang naiinis siya sa isipang iyon?!

"Really? Gosh! I just can't believe that you already experienced sex!” Freya chuckled. “Tapos sa birthday mo naman ay…" Freya giggled. Para sa kaniya, Sophie’s story is quite unbelievable and romantic. She finds them cute!

"Geez! Freya! For Pete’s sake!” she rolled her eyes sa tinuran ng kaibigan. “Nangangamba na nga ako sa maaring mangyari, and there you are excited na excited pa!" nakanguso niyang sabi.

"Hmmm... Teka I think I can help," anito sa kaniya.

A spark of hope lit in her heart. "Talaga? Ano?"

"May nabasa kasi akong libro, about how a man loses his appetite in bed, pag walang reaksiyon ang babae," sabi ni Freya.

"Really?! Tell me! Bilis!"

After a month...

It was just a simple birthday party ng isang simpleng debutant, actually gusto ni Ernesto na bigyan ng magarbong selebrasyon ang kaarawan ng anak. Valen could also give her that fairy tale dream come true birthday subalit tinanggihan iyon ni Sophie. What a dope she is?! Pero para saan pa ang fairy tale na birthday party? Gowns, cakes and roses will not even make her happy.

Nag-isip siya ng maraming alibis and finally she was able to convince them.

Isang happy family dinner ang hinanda ni Valen para sa birthday ng asawa. Both sides of the family were invited, aminin man ni Sophie o hinde nasasaktan ang kaniyang damdamin nang makitang masayang magkasama si Rafael at ang pinsan niyang si Elora. All along from the very begin, she really never existed in their love story kahit pa kontrabida, sadyang wala talaga siya sa listahan ng cast!
