"Many years ago, Queen Velvalaisa (Vel- va- lay- ça) Onavoulia (Oh- nah- voh- lay- uh), wielded a great and powerful sword by the name of Mia Kia (My- yah, Kai- yah). Together they weakened the dark forces that reign fear across the lands and space between worlds. Believing the dark forces had been defeated, our Queen sealed away the almighty sword to prevent any evil from beholding it," The Teacher reads aloud. He peers at the classroom door after hearing it creak open, "Leona, you're late, again... Please have a seat."
"Sorry Teach, I forgot to change my sleeping pods mode from weekend mode, and accidentally slept in... again," Leona sits down in her seat by the door. Snickering can be heard from the other classmates. Leona pays no mind and kicks her feet up on the desk.
The Teacher asks, "Leona, where is Via? It's quite unlike her to be absent, let alone late."
Via swings open the door with holobooks in hand, "I'm here. Many apologies, I was caught up in some important matters," she sets her books on the desk. Then she holds the bottom of her dress close to her legs as she sits, while the whole class stares at her.
Students turn to each other and began to whisper, but the teacher intervened, "alright students, let's please get back to the lesson." The students pay attention once again and he continues, "Now pay close mind to this next part because it will be on your upcoming test," He takes a breath, "people have said that this sword has been sealed away on the planet 'Kluzan' (Mercury) giving it life. Bringing forth the metallic crystal water, plants, and creatures. And as you all know, holds the protection of the prince and princess that are next in line for the throne."
"So, if like, the dark forces or like, whatever, have hidden away like a bunch of cowards, how come we still need to hide?"
"Excellent question, Mayvel! That is because, even though they have retreated, there is a chance they could return. And you must remember we are technically still at war, but with the bravery of our great General of the Air Force we can be a little more relaxed. So, who wants to read next?"
Several kids raise their hands. Leona lays her head on her desk and softly talks to herself, "Ugh, I'm sooo bored!"
"Hush Leona, we're getting into the good part!"
"Of course you would be stoked about the military part Gemi..."
"I told you to not call me that, my name is Gemerai! And what's there to not be stoked about? We're learning about our beautiful queen and her army. Man what I would give to be part of the air force!"
Leona rolls her eyes, "You've always been so hyped up about the airforce."
"Why do you want to join so badly anyway?" Via keeps her eyes to her holobook as they read along.
"Well, I've wanted to join since I was a mere kid. I can just see myself there now!" Gemerai begins to daydream.
"Gemi, you have a little drool going there," Leona points to her mouth.
Gemerai turns around and flicks Leona in the forehead, "I do not!"
"But, why do you want to join? Like what's so great about it?" Via probes.
"Well, I've never wanted to follow my role as next heir and, just like the general, I bet I could do the same thing! She's my role model! Course, she was much younger when she became a General. I wonder what she does nowadays."
Via smirks, "Huh, wouldn't you like to know."
"Girls!" The teacher calls out. The three snap their attention to the teacher who says, "please follow along."
They say, "Yes, sir," at the same time.
After some time the bell rings.
"Alright children, don't forget to do your assignment before you sleep later. And Via, I beg you, please don't read ahead again. I know you know most of this already and you like to read it for fun but just bare with us."
