This is seriously causing me pain!

Mia's POV

'This is actually causing me pain! And not the good kind!'

'Come on, Mia. He's not that bad, plus he insisted on sitting with you alone.'

'WHAT!?'

'Yeah, just talk to him, give him time and I'm sure you'll like him.'

'I seriously doubt that.'

'Why not? Not every guy is like your dad and Tyler, Mia! You have to give guys a chance, I mean look at Rachel, she's happy.'

Rebecca and I were having a texting session and I was about to reply to her latest text but couldn't because I ran out of credit.

Damn it!

I sat beside Jake as he drove. We hadn't spoken since I got in the car with him. Suddenly, out of nowhere I started coughing, like crazy. I had been thirsty but was too lazy to get a bottle of water from my bag and my throat was now dry as if someone had evaporated all the water and all I was left with now was nothing but air. Jake suddenly got concerned and stopped the car.

"Hey, are you okay? Wait, I'll get water." He got out the car and got a bottle of water form the back seat.

I gulped the water and even spilled some on my shirt.

"Have you been to the doctor lately? I think you're lacking Vitamin Me." He said smirking.

I just gave him my killer looks that indicated 'you are so dead if you don't back off now.'

He sensed my anger and raised his hands up in surrender. We finally caught up the other car, there was still an eleven hour drive left and I was already dying with boredom.

"You owe me," Jake finally broke the silence.

"How?" I said raising my eyebrows.

"I just saved your life,"

"Fair enough, what do you want?"

"Kiss me."

 "Gross! Forget it, Anderson." I said disgusted.

He started laughing and I couldn't help but to laugh as well.

"You look so cute when you're mad." He added and I didn't reply.

We sat in silence again, but I wanted to ask him the question I was tempted to ask him for a long time.

"Did you break up with Mona?"

"Uh, yeah I did." He said not making eye contact, he just focused on the road.

"You must have really loved her."

"What made you think that?"

"I don't know, you seemed depressed after I gave you the recordings."

"Her story really convinced me."

"What story?"

"You don't know about her and Tyler?"

"All I know is that I got dumped by Tyler because of Mona."

"Mona got pregnant with Tyler's baby before you and he got together."

"WHAT THE FUCK!" I shouted.

"Yeah, that's the exact same reaction I had. Anyway, Tyler wasn't ready for a baby so he broke up with her and got with you. Mona was obviously depressed and got an abortion."
