ENJOY!

Mias POV

I lay in bed feeling kind of chilly. I mean I was supposed to feel chilly, it's winter but today was way chillier than usual. I tried to snuggle in my blanket to prevent body heat from escaping but I failed in doing so. I finally got jumped out of bed and looked outside my window to find snow all over the place. The whole garden was covered, my car was covered and the fountain in the entrance was frozen. It looked exceptionally beautiful and honestly, I love snow. I just wore a pink jacket over my pj's and walked downstairs to find mom. She was in the kitchen sipping her coffee and enjoying the view outside.

"Good morning, mom!" I said hugging her.

"Hey," she replied and kissed me on the cheek.

I poured myself some coffee too and sat next to her.

"It looks so beautiful doesn't it?" I broke the silence.

"It sure does," She answered and smiled. She was wearing her signature black coat and had let her hair loose. She looked so beautiful.

"So what are you doing for Jake's birthday today?" She asked and my eyes widened as if trying to come out of their sockets.

"WHAT?" I screamed. I had no idea it was Jake's birthday today. He never mentioned his birthday?

"Yeah, I didn't know either. Aunt Lessie called this morning and told me." She stated and I was freaking out.

I quickly called the girls and told them to meet me at Mr. Waffle. They agreed to come and I told them to bring the boys too. I ran outside and fell in the snow in the process, snow covered my hair but I didn't give a damn. I drove to Mr. Waffle at such a slow speed and I swear I noticed a snail pass by. The snow had covered the roads completely which made it really hard to drive. I finally reached the place and the group was already there stuffing themselves with waffles.

"Good morning!" They said simultaneously with their mouths full.

"Ok, this is important and stop looking at me like I killed a squirrel!" I exclaimed while the group looked at me with a weird look on their faces just because I had come in my pj's.

"What's up?" Nate asked.

"So today is Jake's birthday and I didn't know so I'm not prepared and I have NO idea about what should I do." I finished the whole sentence in one breath.

"Simple, have se-" Mike was about to say it but I cut him off.

"NO!"

Everyone laughed at this and I rolled my eyes.

"Give him a little kitten!" Rachel suggested.

"Come on guys, I'm serious!" I whined and they finally got serious.

"Is he celebrating? Like throwing a party or anything?" I asked the boys.

"We don't celebrate, but even if we do, we just throw a party but hardly anyone knows that it's our birthday." Mike said and I made my 'what the hell' face.

"It's a guy thing, you won't understand honey." Nate added.

"Well, is he throwing that party?" I asked.

"No he's not; well I don't think he is."

"Why not?"

"Winter break started yesterday and most of the people go to places outside Rosewood for Christmas and if he had arranged a party and no one would be there, that would've been social suicide!"

"Damn! Guys have such a complicated life." Rebecca said and I gave her my 'I know right!' look.

"So, if he's not throwing a party, why don't you throw him a surprise party?" Rebecca suggested.
