I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling above me. I was wearing my black tank shirt with a denim mini skirt.
What's wrong with you, Mia!
Honestly, I had no flipping idea as to why I was just lying on my bed and doing absolutely nothing. All I could think of today was how Jake managed to save my reputation even though I hadn't even asked for his help.
Why did he do it? I mean, something is definitely going on in his mind...What is it?! And what did he mean by "for you, a thousand times over"?
Ugh, seriously Jake, you are one screwed up guy!
But, no one has ever done something like that for me... I mean, ruin someone else's birthday for me, for my reputation.
STOP! Stop NOW, Mia. Don't forget that a boy is the reason why you have trust issues now! You don't want to have your heart shattered in million pieces again, do you?
I hate how the little voice in my head is always right... even if I don't want to believe it, even if I want to take my chances and prove it wrong. I mean, there are caring guys out there as well, it's not necessary that EVERY boy is like Tyler or my dad. My best friends are in relationships right now and they seem to be happy!
'It's only a matter of time and you know it.'
The little voice in my head warned me again. I was still staring at the ceiling when I got a text from Rachel, it read:
"Gonna go check out the new Armani catalogue with Beccs, want to come with?"
I replied:
"No babe, I think I'm gonna stay home tonight."
Whoa, did I just refuse to go shopping with the girls? I NEVER refuse, I love to shop with them!
My phone beeped again, another text from Rach:
"Come on! I'll get you a molten lava cake on the way from Starbucks."
Typical Rachel, bribing me with food!
"I'm fine Rach, maybe some other day." I replied and switched off my phone.
Whoa! I never switch my phone off, I can't live without my phone! And, did I just say no to Starbucks's molten lava cake!?
