Gaius x Reader Modern AU- Detention

"(Name), why are you late again?''

"My brother forgot to drop me off again. I ran all the way across town and-"

"Detention! See me after class for your hour."

The young (hair color) (gender) groaned quietly. "(Brother) (Last Name), you are SO dead as of now."

They returned to their seat, their best friend/ crush Gaius chuckling in the seat next to them. The teen tugged gently on the knot of his head tie, effectively undoing it. "Hey!" He leaned down to retrieve it, then flicked (name)'s forehead.

"Rude, rude child. So Sugar, detention again?"

"The teen sighed. You know it Gaius. Stupid (Brother) and his screwy sleep schedule." The redhead sniggered behind his hand, reaching into his pocket.

"Sucker?"

"Thank you."

The classroom was cool, the second floor window left open while the (Gender) student doodled in their notebook. Their seat was right next to the window, and the pages in the notebook fluttered with the incoming breeze.

The student glanced around, but they were the only person in the room, seeing as the teacher had left about ten minutes ago, halfway through the detention.

The voice was coming through the window. The (Hair color) child looked out the window, only to see Gaius looking up at them. "What are you doing down there?"

"Offering you company Sugar... And a little candy."

He reached up, a small bag in his hand. The confined student reached out through the window, grabbing it and pocketing it.

The redhead swooped down, pecking their cheek gently. "I do believe we've struck ourselves a deal. So, Tuesday fine Sugar?"

"Sure thing Ginger. Love you, see you tomorrow at school!"

"Try not to get detention again and I'll bring you candy. More messages in sweets for you Sugar, if you can keep out of trouble for a while."

"I believe that you have the best style of flirting. Well, here's my stop. Later Ginger!"
