Takumi x Reader - Falling For You

TheOneWeirdOtaku here's this. Sorry if it's shorter than you would've liked.

Clang!

The arrow reflected off of your sword, lodging itself into a nearby tree. Takumi cursed slightly, readying another shot.

You lunged at him, knocking the arrow off of the bowstring and into the dirt.

The two of you had been training for quite some time now, and Takumi was obviously frustrated. Arrows littered the ground, his quiver running on empty. No blood had been spilled, but both of you felt an aching in your limbs from fighting for so long.

The reason for the fight was simple. Takumi had challenges your brother, Leo's, honor, and you were defending it.

But, though destined to lose, Takumi refused to give up, instead trying to hold out for as long as possible.

He reached for another arrow, but stiffened when his hand comeback empty. Victorious, you longed at him, only to trip on something and instead fall into him.

He grabbed you and, seemingly finding the courage, smugly said, "I see you've been falling for me."

Not missing a beat, you replied, "Yes, because I know you'll always be there to catch me."

He looked at you, a small glint of surprise in his expression. You jumped off of him and turned back to face him, a grin adorning your face.

"Well, it seems my family's honor has been sated."

He stood up and you stepped forward, wrapping your arms around his neck.

"Until next time, lover boy."

You released your hold, turning and running off. It took him a moment to process your actions before finally following suit.

"Wait! What's more important than… that?! … c'mon (Name)... at least help me clean up!"
