Forrest x Reader Part 2 - I'm In

520 ish words in part two, will be making a third part. Just got back from breakfast, poptarts rule.

You were given your own room in the castle, though you were informed that you wouldn't be there for very long.

You were unpacking your few belongings when you heard a knock at the door.

Upon opening the door, you were face to face with a boy about your age. 'Leo was right, the features and posture give it away'

His long, blond hair fell in corkscrewed ringlets, accented by his troubadour outfit. The pink hat topping it all off helped to bring out his silvery-brown eyes.

"May I help you?"

He chuckled. "Yes, actually. I was informed that a Miss (Name) would be in this room. Was I mistaken?"

You shook your head. "No, not at all. Nice to meet you, sir…"

His smile widened slightly. "Forrest. My father, Prince Leo, asked me to check on you."

'So Leo has a son… he dresses beautifully.'

"Of course. Would you like to come in?"

"I would love that."

The two of you talked for hours about your different pasts. Forrest had chosen to dress femininely because of a comment he received from his father as a child, but was anything but a woman. He listened to your story, from your mother dying to your father training you to be a soldier.

"He must have had your best intentions at heart to have trained you in something you loved."

"I suppose so. But he put both of our lives at risk. I could have been killed as a child if they found out about my father's teachings."

Someone knocked at the door.

"I'll get it."

Giving you no time to protest, he stood up and walked to the door, opening it to reveal his father.

"Father!"

You got up and stood straight, facing the door.

"Lord Leo!"

He looked at both of you before chuckling. "So how was the 'checking up' on her?"

You could see the slightest tinge of blush on Forrest's cheeks.

"Very well. We were just having a chat is all."

Leo nodded, turning away from the door. "Very well. Both of you have kitchen duty tonight. He glanced over his shoulder at you. "Sorry for the work on your first day here."

Forrest shut the door behind him. Turning back to you, you could still see the slightest hint of a blush on his cheeks.

Trying to get rid of any awkwardness, you asked, "So, where were we?"

Dinner was a success. After taking some time to consider what the two of you should make, you settled on spaghetti. (This seems familiar.)

Everyone who ate came up to congratulate you on your first day, most calling you "Young Man", as expected.

During dinner, Leo surprised you slightly.

"(Name), Corrin and I have decided that you'll come to the Astral Plane with us after dinner, to assist us with the war. Is that OK?"

You gave him a slightly confused look, but Forrest shouldered you gently.

"The air's cleaner, and we'll have as much time as we need to get you accustomed to everyone in the army. Are you in?"

You thought for a second before nodding. "Yeah, I'm in."

----- Okie. I think I like just using the lines instead of:
