For whalesharkrose. Do I like it...
...yes…
Onwards!
Python stared down at the bow in his hands, thinking. You had given it to him as a gift many years ago, before you went missing.
You had grown up in the same village as Forsythe and Python, waiting for an opportunity to join the army. You had jumped at the chance to go with the pair, not wanting to miss out on any of the action.
So the three of you had trekked all the way to The Deliverance's hideout, getting your own weapons and supplies on the way over. None of you wanted to die before doing SOMETHING with your lives.
While on the way to the hideout, you fashioned Python a bow. Your parents had been training you to be a bowyer (someone who makes bows) like them, just as Python's father was training him to be a carpenter. You had left home more for the adventure than to get away from controlling parents, as for Python's almost direct opposite story
After almost three months there, you had left without a trace. No raids, nobody attacked the base, no visitors. You hadn't even gone on your first patrol before disappearing.
Python had scoured the entire base, and everywhere he could around it, before resigning himself to the fact he would never see you again.
And for the first time that Forsythe had seen since childhood, Python cried.
-----TIMESKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY LIL BIT OF SADNESS.-----
You were stuck in a prison cell for who-knows-how-long. One of The Deliverance's men was a spy, and had been kidnapping people for a long time, according to his stories.
You were surprised that you were still alive. Three sets of people had perished and been removed from your cell block, but you were somehow still surviving.
The cell was cold and cramped, no blankets or cushions in sight. You slept on the floor and ate off of thin pieces of wood they passed off as plates. You were sure that the "plates" were either reused or tossed into a fire, but given your limited visibility, you weren't sure.
You also weren't sure anyone would find you. Python was lazy and Forsythe wasn't the best at reading people. But if they didn't find you, you didn't know how much longer you'd last.
-----TIMESKIP TO THE LIBRARY YOU WANT YOU WANT THE DANCE YOU LATER TO THE DANCE.-----
Python didn't know why, but one of the men in the army seemed… off. He wouldn't ever speak to anyone, and would often disappear for days on end.
Disappear…
… He decided to investigate, seeing as he had no other leads to find you with.
At night, Python glanced around camp. Everyone else seemed normal. And the man was still there, but sneaking off into the shadows with… Was that a person over his shoulders?!
Python crept behind him at a distance, using the shadows to conceal himself. The man didn't ever turn around to look, instead focusing on his journey. As Python got closer, he could see that it WAS a person over his shoulder, one of the younger girls in the Deliverance.
'How dare he! These people are fighting for Zophia, and you take them from their post for your own greed?'
Python's thoughts were interrupted when the man walked up to a fairly large building that smelled of rot and death.
'(Name)...'
He opened the door, apparently not needing a key, before venturing inside. Before the door could fully swing itself closed, Python entered, gagging at the stench.
When he looked up, he could see rows of prison cells, all with people inside of them.
"Hey (Name), I got you a new cellmate. Hope this one lasts longer than the others did."
Python then heard a voice he wish he had been for the past four months.
"(Sister Name) WILL survive, I'll make sure of it."
He heard the man's rough laughter. "Not if the death isn't accidental this time. I heard that this one's close to you. Would be a shame if I… poisoned your food."
Python stepped out of the shadows, bow drawn. "Would be a shame if I… shot you right now, huh?"
"Python!"
"Ah, the delivery boy. You here for your date?"
The man walked out of the cell, holding (Name) under their throat, dagger to their cheek.
"But what would you do if I did this?"
Python couldn't tell which was louder, you scream of pain or his of fury as the man plunged the dagger into your eye. Before he could hit anything vital, Python shot an arrow into his eye and all the way through to his brain. He did so again, with the other eye, when the man's grip on you loosened.
The man let go after the second arrow, falling to the floor. You rolled away from him, blood and tears streaming out of your eye.
Python walked up to him, lifting his chin with the arrow knocked on his bowstring.
"No, it wouldn't be a shame if I shot you. It's happened twice, and I'm feeling great. So how about a third time?"
-----TIMESKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY MY WATERING EYES. WRITING ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING BEING IN MY EYE PHYSICALLY AFFECTS ME.-----
You cuddled closer to Python on the edge of your bed as he toyed with the ends of your eye patch strings.
After killing the imposter soldier, Lukas and Forsythe arrived with (Dog name), having tracked him. After listening to your and Python's stories about the incident, Lukas took it upon himself to unlock all of the cells.
Everyone was grateful to The Deliverance, a few of them having disappeared from their ranks as well. Those who were dead were taken as well, to give them a proper funeral.
You sighed at the memory, turning to wrap your arms around your companion. He chuckled, pressing a gentle kiss against your forehead.
"You thinking again?"
You knew it was a rhetorical question, but couldn't help but to answer.
"All the time. More than I should, probably."
He pulled you up slightly, so that your foreheads were touching.
"Don't worry, I'll always be here for you."
You leaned closer slightly. "Always?"
He shifted so your lips were less than a centimeter apart.
"Always."
