Shura x Reader

It had all started when you first laid eyes on him.

He wasn't like other thieves, in fact, he was far more well versed in stealth than the rest, pretending to be on your side while on the ship.

He had been there for a while, and had finally been found once the rest of your soldiers were accounted for.

He, however, was there not for your gold, (though he had been stealing that) but for revenge against Mokushu, the neighboring kingdom to Kohga, his home. However, when asked what to do with the outlaw, Corrin's decision was final.

Shura was going to stay.

Nobody had attempted to defy Corrin's orders, welcoming Shura into the army with open arms.

Even Azura, the princess he kidnapped all those years ago, was easy to forgive him, knowing that he had done so under orders.

If one of your best friends was eager to forgive him, why not befriend him?

You found him by the lake, shooting arrows at a row of targets against the woods. As you watched from afar, he fired at the six of them again, hitting all of them in the center.

After a few rounds of him shooting arrows he turned to face you a sly smile on his face.

"You could come watch from over here. I don't bite."

"I know, just admiring the view."

It was obvious to everyone in the camp that you two were in love, but both of you were too hard headed to tell one another, sticking to just flirting with each other.

You walked over to him, still watching him shoot at the targets.

Then, without much of a warning, he turned to you, holding out the bow and an arrow.

"Wanna try?"

Shura mumbled a quick apology, sitting on the ground next to you.

Apparently you weren't so good with a bow, the string snapping against your arm and leaving a nasty welt. Midori had bandaged it for you in the infirmary, then sent you on your way.

Afterwards you made your way back to the lake, finding Shura cleaning up his archery supplies.

Which brings us back to him sitting down.

He handed you a flask. When you gave him an incredulous look, he sighed.

"It's not alcohol. It's also not drugged."

When you gave him a deadpan expression, he smirked.

"Just try it."

You took a sip and hummed. Whatever it was, it tasted like warm apple cider and mild beer.

Hearing your him, he chuckled.

"It's called kvass."

He stole it back and took a sip before returning the flask to your hands. "It's good, yeah?"

You chuckled softly as well, taking another sip. "Yeah."

The two of you stayed like that most of the night, sharing his drink and cuddling long after everyone else was asleep.

"...can you both shut up. 'm tired…"

"See?! You woke 'em up! Go away man!"

"Training started 15 minutes ago, Shura."

"...Shit…"
