"(Name), look what I've got!"
Henry, your overly energetic best friend, was running towards you in camp, hiding something under his cloak. His trademark grin was plastered to his face, and you couldn't help but smile back.
"What is it Henry?"
His smile faltered for less then a second, then returning to the serene face you were used to. "Here's something I got in the last battle. Think of it a souvenir!"
He pulled a Risen's arm from his cloak. "Tada!"
You grinned back at him. It was no secret between you that you were a sadist as well, and that was the reason you and the mage were so close.
"Its wonderful Henry. Why'd you bring it to me though?"
His grin vanished, replaced by a sheepish smile. "I brought it back to give to you. Think of it as a... proposal."
You could feel the blush covering your cheeks as you whispered "What proposal?"
His cheeks were rosy as well. "Would you like to accompany me to the next battle?"
This was a valid way for him to ask someone out, in your opinion at least.
"I'd love to. But I need a favor."
"And that would be?" The grin was back.
"You take me out to battle, I get a kiss. Deal?"
"What an in-caw-dible offer!" He laughed at his own pun, then swooped down to your level for a kiss. "I'll take it.
