chapter 24

"what game Cheryl?" Veronica questioned tge redhead.

"how about 7 minutes in heaven?" Cheryl said as she smirked.

Veronica and betty stiffened, the last time they played the game, it didn't turn  out that well. they had no idea what was going on in Cheryl's mind.

Veronica shrugged it off. she thought that this time would be different, after all there were no secrets between them, and they trust each other to know nothing will happen. on the other hand, betty was struggling, she was sweating. did Cheryl figure it out? how did she know? these questions kept running in her head.

"but this time, there's a change. there are 2 separate bowls in which there are names of girls and boys in chits kept separately. i will take one out from each bowl, and thise two will be heading upstairs in my guestroom for 7 minutes. or more if you like" she smirked at the last part.

hearing this betty relaxed. Cheryl didn't know. thank god!

Cheryl smiled. she knew what betty was thinking, she thought she has gotten a free chit. but how wrong you are. just u wait and see. she thought.

"okay lets start shall we?" as she put her hands in the bowls. she read the chits  which said betty and archie. she grinned. perfect. but just you wait

"reggie and Josie" Cheryl said out loud.

Reggie laughed and stood "yeah! i cant wait to for this"
josie shook her head "why did it have to be this dimwit?"
"have you looked at me Ms. pussycat?" reggie said aa he showed off his arms in order to ahow hwr hia muscles

"nothing i haven't seen before."josie cockily replied

"okay, your time starts now" Cheryl said aa she watched the two of them go to the guestroom.

"Cheryl there are people in relationship here. i dont think, this would be appropriate" jughead spoke

"oh please. my party, my rules. plus its just a game. who is seeing what the people are doing inside anyway?"

jughead sighed. there is no point arguing here.

soon 7 minutes were up, and still Josie and Reggie Haven't come out. Cheryl smirked.

after waiting for 10 minutes finally the duo showed up, Reggie, full of pride and Josie kind of embarrassed.

Cheryl placed her hand s in the bowls and for the second time drew archie and Betty's name again.
"sweet pea and ginger" she said out loud.

the game continued for another 2 rounds with Betty's and Archie's name yet again being pulled out.

as fangs and Kevin returned, with Kevin blushing, Cheryl decided now. now is the time.  she pulled out betty and Archie's name from the bowl and announced "betty and archie"

in fact, all the slips present in the bowl had their names on it. she wanted them to feel at ease, not sensing a trap so she said different names in the beginning. she had done all preparation. there were hidden cameras present in the room which through a remote will start recording as soon as they enter the room.

betty and archie were surprised. they both gulped.
"i don't want to do this"betty said.

"you have no choice betty dearest."

she looked at Archie who nodded at her and she sighed "fine we'll do it"

as soon as betty and archie went in cheryl secretly turned on the record button and turned to jughead and Veronica who looked uncomfortable.

"Veronica and hobo. i have something to show you. so, move it"

they looked at each other and sighed. they know Cheryl wanted something. they stood up and followed Cheryl to her bedroom.

"what is it Cheryl?" Veronica questioned

Cheryl turned on the tv, and jughead and Veronica were surprised to see archie and betty.

"what the hell Cheryl? u have placed a camera in that room?  that is so unethical" jughead said

"oh just you wait. and quiet you should hear this"
Cheryl said.

"so what now?" betty asked

"well we are alone now" archie replied to her.
they both were sitting extremely close.

"i feel like kissing you" archie said.

Veronica looked on shocked. jughead placed his hands on her shoulder, in order to provide her with support.

" oh, archie, do you even need to ask?" betty replied.

hearing that jughead whole world just crashed down. he looked at Veronica in pain to see the same pain reflected in her eyes.
they couldn't look away from the tv where they niw saw barchie kissing.

as the kiss got heated, archie pulled away and leaned down and placed his forehead on hers

"i wish i could kiss you always, not hidden from anyone"

"we can't arch. you know that"

"yeah i know. its just i think im falling in love with you" archie said.

Veronica was heartbroken. her boyfriend has just told her best friend that he loves her.

she abruptly stood up and wiped her tears. jughead just looked at her. he was in shock.
seeing her get up he was out of the trance and stood up next to her

"Cheryl. you knew about this? you knew this would happen?" jughead questioned

"yes. i didn't want to inform you without proof, knowing you won't believe me"

he nodded. he curled up his fists in anger. he looked at Veronica  who just stood there eyes glued to the tv.

he took her hand, causing her to look at him with tears in her eyes as she suddenly hugged him.

he placed his arms around her calming her. he needed to be strong right now. at least for her.

"come on. lets go talk to them" jughead said to Veronica.

she nodded and slowly got herself together as she pulled out of the hug. they headed downstairs and barged into the room where betty and archie sat kissing.

they were shocked qnd pulled apart suddenly.
"how long?" jughead questioned coldly

"juggy, this is...this is not what it looks like"
betty stammered

"how long?" Veronica repeated the question.

archie and Betty were silent.

"she asked you a question!" jughead shouted at them

"we saw everything"Veronica said

archie and betty were shocked and couldn't get themselves to be honest

"HOW LONG HAVE YOU TWO BEEN GOING AROUND OUR BACKS?" Jughead shouted. he was furious. mad. hurt.

they both looked down. betty was silently crying

"im sorry, we didn't want to hurt you" betty said as she cried.

"how long?" Veronica questioned coldly yet again.

"past month" archie finally replied.
