chapter 15

You know what's weird about Riverdale, how once 2 people who were so different yet so alike,who only felt obliged to spend time together now were desperate to be in each other's company and how those 2 people who have been best friends since they were in diapers want to avoid each other as if they don't know each other.

It was screwed up how their fates were intertwined. Where once they thought, everything will be okay, after Hirams arrest, but things took a different turn.

Things were changing. Time was different then. But now, at least they are free to choose, free to be different, free to explore and free to forming different opinions.

It would take time for the 4 teenagers to understand. But life's always teaching a lesson and sooner or later they will also adapt. But right now? Its their time to be in problems they themselves created.

Archie and Betty, the boy next door and the girl next door, the seemingly perfect people had a dark secret. Which they knew could destroy everything. While betty was struggling with her guilt, her growing, never ending, love for archie. She wished she could turn back time and stop the moment from happening, but the selfish part of her? Wanted archie no matter what. Even if it hurts her friends. But betty wasn't selfish. Even if it hurts her, she would never ever want to hurt v and jug again. She didn't even realise when her old feelings for archie resurfaced. And she somehow feels at peace knowing that this time, archie feels the same way. But why now? Couldn't he have realised his feelings long before? That way they wouldn't have been in this place the first place. Uhh what am i thinking?!?! She thought. She wants to be with archie but is not ready to let go jughead, the caring boyfriend,

while archie was struggling with keeping his feelings aside. He knew he liked betty. He is no longer fighting it. There's no point! Somehow he fell in love with her. Maybe he always loves her, maybe he never knew. But now he does. He knows he betrayed Veronica, the girl he thought he loved, loves. He will always love her. But he is not in love with her  But he knows betty. She won't bulge.

He looked through the window at Betty's home. He keeps doing that nowadays. Just looking at her. And he knows she's been upset. He didn't want her to be upset. He wants her to realise her feelings, and for once stop caring. He wants her to give them a shot. And he also knows he's being a hypocrite, he doesn't want to hurt Ronnie and Jug, just like betty doesn't, but.... And on the other hand, is he really ready to leave Veronica, the amazing and beautiful girl he has? Who has done so much, so much for him. Can he ever let go of her?

But looking at Betty, he wonders. What if it actually works? 

When betty opened Her curtains she saw archie staring. She wanted to look away. She did. But she couldn't. They just kept gazing at each other. Knowing they can't be together but they can still have this moment. This moment will always be theirs. The one when the boy next door looked at the good girl, as if seeing her in new light. That forever changes his perception.

He signals her to meet outside, and is relieved to see betty nod.

Meeting outside he saw betty, who only came in her nightdress and saw her shivering.

"Betty!" He quickly gave her his jacket and pulled her close to him.

"Archie why have you called me here?"

"Look, i know i said to forget about it. But i can't! I am not able to"

"Archie, i know its hard but remember you only said we can't hurt them?"

"I know. But what if ... What if they don't have to know?"

"You mean, see each other secretly?"

"Yes. Please betty i know you want this"

"No archie, this is worse than not telling!"

"Betty, i like you. Alot. Please give this a shot please."

"Archie, i ...i... can't" she said as she pulled away from him and ran back to her home.

Archie stood there heartbroken. But he won't give up. He wants to try. Try with her.
And he knows she wants it too. He just has to show her that its okay to be selfish sometimes.

He texted betty "if we don't try how will we know? How will you get rid of the feelings you have for me?"

There was no response. He sighed and put his phone in his pocket and went back inside his house.

AN- i want to clear something. i know im writing about this, but cheating on your significant other is wrong. Its never okay to be that selfish that you can't break up first.
