"We're going to the hospital"

"No. We're going home"

Veronica and jughead argued.

The others groaned. "Aww man decide already! Arguing over a stupid thing" sweet pea said out loud.

"Jughead is hurt, we need to go the hospital"

"Its just a flesh wound. It can be taken care of at home. And plus we need to see your mother first. She's worried sick" jughead argued

"Wait my mom knows?"

"Yeah, i went looking for you to the pembrooke"

"Damn it. She's gotta be worried"

"Yeah. So we should go home"

"Nope. Hospital first"

Cheryl had had enough of this senseless arguing.
"Shut up! First we'll go to the hospital to get jugheads wound dressed up and then we can go to the pembrooke got it jones?"

Kevin nodded." Sensible plan"

"Yeah." Toni agreed

"Fine. Gang up on me will you?" Jughead said frustrated

Veronica smiled in victory. She looked at jughead pointedly. "See? Im always right"

He sighed. "No one would believe you were just kidnapped" he said looking glum

Veronica laughed "oh cheer up. Its a hospital"

"I don't like hospitals. People die there" he said

"People are saved there as well. Why do you always see the negative?" She said smacking him on his shoulder.

He glared at her, but his gaze softened when he saw her looking at him with care and affection. "Fine. You win. Let's go"

"Yes!" She said as she held his hand. And together they went out.

In the hospital, when he was alone, Cheryl came in and stood there looking at him with question in her eyes.

"What Cheryl?"

"So? Did you tell her?"

"…..what?" He looked at her innocently

"Don't play coy with me. Did you tell her?"

"No"

"Why not?" She asked exasperated

"Not the right time"

Cheryl shook her head " what do you mean not the right time?"

"I want to make it special. And plus i love her. I don't know how she feels" he said

"You're so dense!! Its obvious you two are made for each other!"

He looked at her as if she just grew 2 heads. "Cheryl, you're not talking sense"

"Don't be surprised when what i said turns out to be true" she said as she walked out of the room.

So..she just came in to lecture me. She could have asked how i was doing jughead thought. She's a curious person..

Veronica entered next with a coffee and burger.

"You bought me food? Thank heavens someone was listening" jughead exaggerated

"Very funny jughead" she said as she handed him his food.

He took it instantly. He took a bite and made a face. "this is a burger? Please. This is not edible"

"Jughead. Stop over reacting. This is a hospital. You can't expect food to be of 5 star quality." She said

He looked at annoyingly "i wouldn't be eating this, if we just had gone home"

"Stop being gloomy" she said as she sat beside him

"Thank you jughead. You risked your life to save mine" she said softly.

He looked at her to find her already looking at him. They were gazing into each other's eyes and slowly were getting closer until their lips brushed each other's and as they were about to kiss archie and betty suddenly came in.

They both jerked apart and looked at them annoyingly.
"Why are you here?" Jughead said frustrated, he was about to kiss her.

"What are you guys doing here?" Veronica questioned.

"We came.. we came here to apologise. I am sorry Veronica. We had no idea what you were going through. We weren't there for you when you needed us the most"
Betty said

Veronica looked at them weirdly. Jughead looked sheepish. "Jughead did you…?"

"Yeah, i told them you were living with me and that you were living at poos before that" he said not looking in her eyes

"Jughead!"

"What? It was time for them to know" he said as he shrugged.

"Fine" Veronica looked at them.

"You're  only apologising because you got to know my living conditions." Veronica said

"No. We are truly sorry with how we treated you. You didn't deserve what we did to you. You were always a good friend but im sorry that u had shitty friends like us" archie said

Betty nodded " we understand, if you don't forgive us. I know, if it was other way around i wouldn't have. But we just wanted you to know how sorry we are"

Veronica looked at them. She could understand they ere genuine. But still, could she really trust them again?

"I forgive you. But that doesn't mean we're friends again.  I can't seem to get myself trust you both again. I just can't. But i don't want the burden of what ifs to be there in my life, i want to move on. So yeah, i forgive you" Veronica said.

Archie and betty looked sad and devastated. For a moment, Veronica just wanted to hug them. Get all her friends back. But this was different. They aren't kids anymore. There were consequences of their actions. and how much ever she wanted to forget their betrayal, she couldn't.

They nodded "thanks Veronica for forgiving us Veronica. At least that's a first step" betty said

She looked at jughead who just stared at them. "What about you jughead?" Archie asked

"Guess, if she can forgive you, i can too. But im not going to be as nice as she was. I don't want you both in my life anymore. I want to get past both of you."

"I guess thats fair" betty said looking sad.

They both left. Veronica and jughead looked at each other and sighed. "Well we forgave them" jughead said

"You were harsh" Veronica said

"Oh well, they deserved it" he said

She thought about it and smiled "yeah they did"

He smiled at her. "Come closer"

"Why?"

"You're my aspirin. With you close to me, i feel happy. Like everything is perfect" he said

Veronica blushed. Ahe scooted closer to him and looked up at him to see him leaning down. She closed her eyes, and finally without no interruption, they finally kissed.
It was bliss. Fireworks exploded in their stomachs.

This felt so much better. They weren't drunk, but still they were so close to each other.

They only pulled apart for air and then went back to kissing each other.

"I wanted to kiss you the moment you were in my arms" jughead said huskily.
