(Y/n)'s POV

I don't know why I thought it was a smart idea to take a short cut all the way home through a sketchy alley way. I didn't think it was such a bad idea at first because I would be able to get home more quick, and avoid getting caught in the storm outside. The moment I turned down the alley way was the moment I realized that I made a grave mistake. The color from my drained from the scene in front of me. I saw man who's face was shoved into the neck of a woman.

There was a small pool of blood by the feet of the man. I started move backwards to escape the alley way before the guy turned his attention to me. My foot ended up crashing into a trash bag behind me. The guy stopped moving the second he heard the trash bag. He dropped the woman carelessly on to the ground, my eyes wandered over to her and I almost threw up from what I saw. There was blood running down the side of her neck from two small hole punctures.

I quickly looked away from the woman, and focused back on the man in front of me. He was looking right at me, I could see the blood of the woman smeared all of over his mouth. He lifted up his arm wiped the blood from his mouth, he flashed me a dangerous smirk. I wanted to run out of the alley way as fast as possible but I was too scared to moved. I heard a rumble of thunder, I'm gonna get drenched in rain. He started walking towards me.

I instantly walked backwards, I was afraid of turning around and making a run for it, I didn't want him chase after me if I ran. "I don't bite," he said to me like he won't hurt me but his expression said otherwise. Lightning flashed and it started pouring rain,"S-Stay away from me," I said fearfully to him. I guess that made things more worse because he was walking more faster towards. I forced myself to turn around and I started running for my life.

I tried not to look back because that would've just thrown me off. I can't believe I'm having a real life horror movie moment. I'm praying that he didn't follow me or else I'm gonna seriously screwed. With the rain pouring it wasn't easy to see where I was going, but I was able to make it to my house. I grabbed my keys out of my pocket and I quickly opened up the door. I ran inside and I shut the door closed and I locked it.

I let out a breath that I didn't know that I was holding in. That was scary. I was about to go to my bedroom, and change out of my wet clothes when hand clamped down on my mouth. I tried screaming for help but they ended up getting muffled by the person's hand. "Stop screaming," the person hissed in my ear, I quickly recognized the person as the guy from earlier. I stopped screaming and he released me.

I spun around and glared at him,"Who the hell are you and why did you follow me?!" I demanded, he gave me an amused look,"The names Marth and I followed you because I wanted too," he said with a shrug. The image of him drinking that woman's blood came back to me,"What are you?" I asked him,"I'm a vampire," he said to me. I wanted to deny it but I saw more than enough evidence that proved that to be true.

"Now it's my turn to ask, what's your name?" Marth asked me,"(Y/n)," I said to him. "Are you gonna kill me?" I asked him hesitantly, after what I witnessed he's probably gonna kill me. He looked a bit surprised by my question,"I'm not here to kill you," Marth said to me and out of nowhere he pinned me against the front door. I blushed from the closeness,"I'm here to bring my queen home," he whispered in my ear.

"Queen?" I asked him, I'm seriously hoping he isn't talking about me. "Yes, your my queen and coming back home with me," Marth clarified to me. This is crazy. "There's no way I can be your queen," I denied while pushing him away from me. "You can be my queen because your my soulmate," he said to me. "This is a lot to take in," I said to him, my brain was having a hard time processing the information he just told me.

"I-I need to go," I said to him and I tried to leave, but he grabbed on to my wrist, stopping me from leaving. His grip was tight on my wrist but not tight enough for it to hurt. I felt tingles on my wrist. This whole situation was overwhelming. "(Y/n), you can't deny it, we're connected to each other," Marth said to me. Deep down I knew he was right, but the stubborn side of me didn't want to listen to him. "That can't be possible, I barely know you," I said to him.

"I'm pretty sure you thought vampires didn't exist until now, so what makes the part about us being soulmates makes it sound crazy?" He asked me,"The whole idea of soulmates is crazy because there's so many people in this world. There's no way you can find a soulmate of that much people." I said to him,"What if I'm able to change your mind on that?" Marth asked me,"Are you making a bet with me?" I asked him, it sounded like one to me.

"Alright then bet, if I can convince you that we're soulmates then your gonna come back home with me and become my queen," Marth said to me. "Okay," I agreed, I have to win this. "If you win I'll leave you be," he said to me. "Game on," I said challengingly to him. This was something I didn't want to lose, I'll prove him wrong.
