Cold, cold, COLD! Why is everything so freaking cold right now?! I shiver, trying to look around but all I can see is fog. I try to remember what happened but it's really hard. I remember coming to see Myrtle, telling her about the day and then I remember her screaming. I tried to see what she was screaming about but must have blacked out because I don't remember seeing anything. "Come on, brain! This is so dumb! You have to remember" I yell. By now I'm sure to look loony to anyone around me anyways, yelling at myself is the most sane thing I've done all week. Suddenly the fog clears and I see a building on fire. I see 4 kids standing outside, two girls holding 2 boys. The younger girl keeps screaming almost as much as the baby she's holding. "Shay, you need to stop! Dad told us to get the boys out, we have to keep moving. It's what Winchesters do!" The older girl yells and I freeze. I know that voice, I've heard that voice my whole life. "Pyper!" I yell but my voice makes no noise. "PYPER!!!" I try again but still no sound is coming out. I feel my eyes start to water as I watch the children start to walk away from the house with only one last look over their shoulders. I see a man leaving the house and grab the younger girl, I'm now realizing that must be me, and holding her back. "Pyper!!!!" The girl yells and the man laughs. "I'm not going to hurt you girls, such sweet little angels" he coos and I feel cold chills just seeing him. My head starts to hurt and suddenly the fog is back. I don't know what is going on or why and honestly I have more questions now than I did before this stupid dream even started. I start to wake up and am surprised when I see I'm in the hospital wing. "What happened?" I ask and my voice sounds hoarse. "Shay!" Pyper says, hugging me. "You got petrified. You scared us all" she says and I look at her confused. "No... I can't have been petrified I wasn't out for that long" I mumble and she rolls her eyes. "You were out for a couple weeks. Slept right through Christmas" she teases and I pout. "Dang it, I always love Christmas" I mumble. "Hey, I have a question. What's a Winchester?" I ask just as the others start to show up. "Winchester? Isn't that a gun brand?" Hannah says and I shrug. "It feels more meaningful than that" I sigh. "When I was out I had a really creepy dream but it didn't feel like a dream" I say and Pyper gives me a worried look. "What happened?" she asks and I sigh. "It was you, me, and 2 little boys. They were both younger than us. And we were standing outside holding them watching a house burn, I'm assuming our house. I kept screaming for dad and you told me we had to go, dad wanted us to get the boys out and leave, that Winchesters always keep moving" I say and she hugs me again. "That sounds terrifying but I'm sure it was just a dream" McGonagall says and I can't help but glare at her. "You don't know what it feels like! None of you do! I can't sleep without seeing these boys, I can't live a normal life because creepy things keep happening to me! I just want somebody to believe and understand me!" I yell and bury my face in my pillow when all I get are worried looks in return. "Everyone but Pyper leave me alone!" I say and hear shuffled footsteps. "I can't leave you alone, young lady, I have to give you meds. And perhaps a sleeping potion to help with the night terrors" Madame Pomfrey suggests. I nod, sighing. "Sleeping potions, the first step to killing the crazy" I mumble and Pyper frowns at me. "You aren't crazy. I see them too, you know. One day we'll find the missing link. Right now though I think you need to focus more on school and our friends and the happy things because you're scaring all of us with this emo Shay phase. This isn't you, you know it as well as I do" she says and I nod. "First thing on the agenda once I get to feeling better is a New Year's party, that way we can at least start the new year on the right foot. Or maybe a Gingerpuffs meeting to discuss the basilisk. I don't know what's going on honestly anymore" I admit and Pyper laughs. "We'll figure it out, all of us, together. Just remember we're all on the same team here. They may seem like they're judging you but honestly they're looking out for you and we all are worried. Nobody likes Sad Shay" Pyper says. Madame Pomfrey brings me some medicine and I take it before laying back down. "Thank you, Pyper" I say softly and she's smiles. "Don't mention it. It's what big sisters are for" she says, kissing my head before leaving the room so I could rest. I could hear her talking to people outside and I smile to myself. It was nice to know my friends cared and I really was lucky to have them. I was going to get back to Gingerpuff leader just as soon as I could get this headspace issue sorted. But for now I was tired and it was time for some rest.
