Halloween was around the corner and I've finally finished one of the two books on Snape's list of recommended books. I knew right then and there that it was going to take a while to get through the books. I hope that the second one isn't going to be as dense and I don't have to do as much extra research. But since Snape is the one who suggested them, I doubt it. But I felt relieved to finally get through the book and Theo convinced me to take a small break from it. I felt bad for not spending any time with him, so I agreed to it. Not only that, I was preoccupied with what I saw while being attacked by the Dementor and trying to do the research needed to start my campaign for wrongly accused prisoners. I don't even have a name for it yet! And Shay said she was going to let me announce it to everyone for the first official Gingerpuff meeting of the year. Pansy had been my saving grace because when she saw me getting overly anxious about my work load, she'd remind me to step back and take a breath. Well, I say reminded, but really she forced me to. I'm stubborn, I know. But that's how all Harpers are. I say all Harpers, but as far as I'm aware, it's just Shay and I. I shook my head to clear this line of thinking out of my head. Not right now, Pyper. You are about to spend your Saturday afternoon with Theo at Hogsmeade. This day is for you and Theo, not thinking about things that stress you out. Pansy helped me out with my hair again and soon, I was waiting for Theo out in the commons.
Technically, we're not supposed to be going to Hogsmeade since it's not a school field trip, but I don't care about that. I just want to spend a day with Theo outside of school. Maybe I should try harder this summer to hang out with him. That'd be nice and we won't be continents away from each other. Not like we were when we went to Alex's this last summer. I wonder how Theo would feel about that. "What are you thinking about?" Theo asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"I was thinking about us spending more time together during the summer." I answered honestly. "I missed you a lot last summer." He blushed.
"I don't mind doing that." He said with a smile. He held out his hand and I grabbed it before we headed out of the commons. "But there's something I need to tell you, before that happens."
"Is it to do with how you were feeling last year?" I asked him.
"Yes," He said with frown. "But I don't want to talk about that right now. We're going on a date."
"Okay," I said smiling at him. "You can tell me when you're ready."
"Thanks, Pyper." He said beaming at me. I blushed. He was so freaking cute! Okay, Pyper. Get yourself under control.
"So, what do you want to do first?" I asked him curiously.
"Let's go check out Honeydukes." Theo said thoughtfully. "I haven't actually had the chance to really look around."
"Okay." I said nodding. We walked through the crowded street and made our way into Honeydukes. If the street was crowded, Honeydukes was worse. But we managed to get a good look at everything and even bought some candy. We got some that I was too scared to try on my own, so we're going to share it. It was pretty cold out, so we went to the Three Broomsticks next to warm up with Butterbeer. We tried out the candy and it was actually really good. We finished it in no time and actually went back to Honeydukes for more when we decided to go back to the school. We went to check out the Shrieking Shack and seeing it made me feel bad because I know why it's there and why it's called the shrieking shack. I hope we're able to stop Snape from telling everyone Remus' secret, because he's really the only competent teacher Hogwarts has ever had during Harry's time there. Not that imposter Moody was incompetent, he was just an imposter. And we have to deal with him next year and I'm not looking forward to it. That's when shit is really going to hit the fan and become very scary, very quickly. I don't know if I'll ever be ready for that, but I'm determined to try and keep Harry's name out of the cup.
