Christmas Party Surprise

Shay has been very sneaky since she's gotten out of the Hospital Wing. I'd ask her what she's up to, but I know she won't tell me. So, I'll just let her be. I know I'll find out eventually. "You said Shay was already talking about another party right?" Pansy asked me one day. We're in the middle of January and the teachers are shoving assignment after assignment down our throats in preparation for exams. I've heard stories about fifth year and seventh year. Yeah, I'm not looking forward to those, but that's a worry for another day. Also, classes are over for the day. So, Pansy and I are hanging out in the Slytherin commons working on assignments.

"Yeah, but I'm not exactly sure when that's going to happen. She hasn't said anything to me." I said shrugging. "She has been pretty secretive though, but I know she won't tell me if I ask."

"Oh, it's making me anxious." Pansy said pouting. I grinned. "What?"

"I know something that will help." I said shrugging.

"What?" She asked curiously.

"Talking to Lee." I said and her eyes bugged out.

"N-No way!" She said blushing and shaking her head.

"Why? We both know you like him and you'll never know how he feels unless you talk to him. At this point, you're not even friends yet." I said frowning.

"I know that." She said looking upset.

"I'm sorry for upsetting you." I said grimacing. "That wasn't my intention."

"It's okay, I know it wasn't." She said smiling. "It's just every time I try to talk to him, I lose my nerve. I normally have no problems at all talking to people, but when it comes to him, I just can't. We don't even have anything in common."

"You don't know that." I said smiling. "Come on, you need to start somewhere."

"What? Now?" She asked wide-eyed.

"Yeah! Now put your stuff away, we need a break!" I said closing my potions book and stuffing my things back into my bag. "Let's go before it gets too late!"

"Okay, okay." She said sighing. "Don't be so pushy."

"I only do it out of love." I said grinning.

"Yeah, yeah." She muttered. After we dropped our stuff into our rooms, we went looking for Lee. Luckily, we found him with Fred and George.

"Hey guys!" I said grinning.

"Hey Pyper." Fred said smiling. "What's up?"

 "I need you and George for a moment. Is that okay, Lee?" I asked him.

"Yeah," Lee said nodding.

"Great! Come on!" I said grabbing the twins and taking off around the corner of the corridor. I stopped a few feet away.

"What's going on?" George asked frowning.

"Shush!" I whispered and peeked around the corner. Pansy and Lee were standing there awkwardly. I rolled my eyes. Come on Pansy, use your words!

"What's going on?" Fred asked curiously.

"Pansy has a crush on Lee. So, I decided since they don't really know each other, that I would leave them alone to talk for a little bit." I explained, frowning. "But Pansy isn't saying anything."

"Well, you put her on the spot." George said rolling his eyes.

"Puh-lease!" I said rolling my eyes. "This always works."

"Really? Name one time it worked." George said raising an eyebrow at me.

"Fred and Shay." I said crossing my arms. "I can give you another one. Blaise and Susan."
