Heroes and Villains

Hair was always the bane of my existence. "Curl faster, Alex!" I gripe and she glares at me. "You're the one demanding it be perfect! It's not my fault you want curls for a ponytail" she complains and I roll my eyes. "Ok, you're done" she says, putting the Wonder Woman headpiece on after putting a gold hair tie on my hair. I slide my sandals on, quickly zipping them up the back and grabbing my shield shaped backpack and running to the RoR before starting to set up. I hide my backpack in the bathroom, hiding my second dress in the shower. I was glad I'd learned the bottomless bag charm already, it kept my dress wrinkle free. I just finished with decorating when the door opens "Did someone ask for the Blacks?" Pansy teases and I laugh. "Black panther and Black widow, love the costumes. I'm so glad Alex did the costumes because honestly I have little talent with costuming" I admit. Alex and Neville come in next and I gasp. "Alex, your hair! I love it!"I say excitedly and she laughs. "I'd hope so because it's permanent, at least for a few weeks" she says and Neville just looks shocked. "She's so pretty" he whispers and I coo. "You're so cute" I say, sighing. "Shark boy and Lava girl are such an underrated couple honestly" I say and they nod. "I had to ask who shark boy even was" he mumbles. "You know what characters everyone knows? It's spiderman and deadpool" Draco brags, walking in fully dressed as Spiderman. Harry is right behind him and I jump up and down. "Harry is in heels! I'm gonna die!" I say and he rolls his eyes. "I had to be taller than Draco" he points out. "It's easier to walk than I anticipated" he says and I smirk. "I'm proud of you" I say and he blushes. "It's heels, I'm not dressing in drag" he mumbles. I hear the door open again and I smile. "Ladybug and Cat Noir! Brexia! My favorite second years!" I yell and Brendan makes a face. "We're the only second years you kept" he points out and I shrug. "Just means we like you" I say. They nod, heading over to get food. The door opens again and I hear Fred and George talking over each other. "Thor, Loki stop arguing" I say and they laugh. "Sorry wonder woman" George says. "I feel weird, Megan is Sif and so she matches with George and I'm the only one not in a couples costume with my girlfriend" Fred sighs. "Trust me, you don't want to be Superman" I tell him. Susan and Blaise come in and honestly Susan looks gorgeous but their costumes were hard to guess. "Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman" she says, twirling to show off her dress. "Beautiful" I say, hugging her. I hear the door slam open and look up. "You started the party without us? How rude! C'mon, Puddin let's teach 'em all a lesson" Pyper says, walking in with Theo right behind her. He smirks when everyone freezes. "What? Did you think the villains weren't coming. That's a laugh" he says, cackling just like the Joker. "Hey, puddin'. I think we broke them. Maybe our other friends should join us too" Pyper says, going and opening the door and Luna saunters in dressed as Catwoman with Hannah holding her hand and playing the perfect Poison Ivy. "Okay, Alex definitely outdid herself with you four. Gotham's finest villains and not a bat in sight" I tease. I'm so busy gushing over the others I miss Luca and Astoria coming in. "Are we too late?" Astoria asks and I look her over. "Are those wings? with real feathers?" I ask and she blushes. "I made them myself, Alex did the rest" she mumbles. "It's magnificent. Perfect for Maleficent. And you, Luca. The perfect little Green Arrow. I'm glad you decided to come" I say and he shrugs. "You invited me, its the least I can do" he says. I find Fred, starting to enjoy the party. I was glad everyone's costumes fit and I wanted to enjoy a few minutes with my boyfriend before pulling the best trick of the night. We dance for a bit before I look at Fred. "I'm thirsty, I'm going to get some punch I'll be back" I say, quickly letting myself get lost in the crowd and make my way to the bathroom. I slide my dress on, easily covering up the Wonder woman costume and draping the dark green scarf around my arms. I let my hair down from the high pony and slide a thin gold headband in to hold my curls back from my face before sliding everything back in my backpack and heading back out. I see Fred by the punch bowl and frown. "You weren't supposed to look for me, dork" I tease and he turns around and smiles. "You look beautiful, the perfect Loki" he says and I roll my eyes. "You were the perfect Loki, I just wanted you to feel included in the couples thing. Plus, I'm never going to say no to flowy dresses" I tease. I kiss him quickly before starting to make rounds again and everyone loves the costume change. I don't know why but I always loved being the center of attention, as long as it was on my terms. We're all vibing when suddenly I see a shape in the window. I look closer and it's an owl. I open the window enough for the letter to come in and the owl leaves. It's addressed to Pyper so I find her and give it to her. "I think its from Snuffles" I say and she nods, opening it. "I have to go, I'm sorry" she says and Theo frowns but doesn't question her. I chase after her, careful not to fall in my heels. We head outside and I shiver, not prepared for the October weather. "This should be fun" I mutter, sticking close to Pyper. I was always up for animagus antics.
