February was finally here and I couldn't be more excited. Everyone was still watching me closely and honestly I was over it. Yes, I was still seeing the boys and yes, I might have asked for salt a few times now when the lights flickered too much but honestly I was fine. It's perfectly normal to have night terrors when you've been petrified. But February brought my favorite holiday: Valentine's Day. I had been very diligently watching how our group was interacting in the last month I'd been out of the hospital and I was excited to test a few theories. I hand made invitations for each of my intended targets and sent them out by owl the week before Valentine's. I get to breakfast before anyone else and smile as I see my invitations start to arrive. I see the girls all cooing and gushing over theirs but they quickly become confused when they see different destinations on their invites. "Do you think the boys are behind this?" Lexia asks and George gets one dropped on his head. He starts to turn a bit green and she laughs. "Nevermind, this can't be them" she says. "This has to be Shay. Look at all the hearts and glitter, she's trapping us. I'm not going" he says and Megan looks at his invitation. "That's too bad, I was your date" she teases and he chokes as she walks away. "Stop peeking! I want everyone surprised on Valentine's Day, if you all know who you've got I know a few of you who will chicken out" I say, glaring at George and Pansy. "What if we all promise to show up but just want to know who we have?" Lexia asks and I sigh. "Fine. But you can't ask me about what I'm planning" I say, seeing everyone with an invite cram together and start talking all at once. I stand up, sighing as I head to the dorms. I'd forgotten to grab my books and knew I needed to get a move on. "Is there any particular reason I didn't get an invite? Seems a bit rude if you ask me" I hear behind me and I turn around, smiling when I see Fred. "The invites were for baby couples, the ones who need a push in the right direction if you will. I'd like to think we're better than that" I tease and he smirks. "Still, my girlfriend puts all this effort into handmaking beautiful cards for people and I didn't get one. I feel like you owe me" he teases and I giggle, going up on my toes to kiss him. "How about if I promise you still get a date planned by me, does that make up for it?" I ask and he thinks for a second and nods. "It better be spectacular though, my brother got one of those cards and I didn't" he teases and I laugh, running to the dorms so I won't be late to class. The rest of the week passed uneventfully, full of classwork and excited whispers of plans for the big day. My valentine's day started a lot earlier than everyone else's seeing as I had 6 dates to plan perfectly. I made mine and Fred's first, wanting to make sure he got the best and most perfect version of Shay that he could. I'd told him to meet me in the dining halls at 7 a.m. knowing that nobody else would be out of bed that early since there were no classes. I'd talked Rosie and Posie into letting me cook for him and I and had a cute breakfast set up for us, I'd even found a cute dress to wear and done my hair perfectly. He walked in and it felt like my heart stopped for a moment. "You dressed up" I say softly and he blushes, laughing softly. "I figured I should, it's a date afterall" he says. "This looks amazing" he says and it's my turn to blush. "It's not much, I was learning to cook from your mum over the summer and Rosie helped a bit. I also made you brownies but those are your gift so you don't get them until after breakfast" I tease and he laughs. "I guess that's fair. You have to wait a bit longer than after breakfast for your gift" he says and I pout. "Why?" I ask and he rolls his eyes. "Because you do. You think you're the only one who does surprises around here?" he teases and I sigh. "Fine, but I'm at least stealing a brownie then since I have to wait. It's only fair" I tease and he laughs, finishing his food and smiling when I give him the pan of brownies and the handmade card on top. "I do get one then" he teases and I nod, stealing a kiss and a brownie before leaving him to set up date number 2. Hannah and Luna had honestly been one of my favorite things to watch in the last 3 weeks. I don't know exactly what happened while I was unconscious but apparently Luna had been a proper shoulder for Hannah to cry on and it had left a lasting impression. I saw the way Hannah looked at her when she thought noone was watching and it made my heart happy to see my best friend finally feeling some love. I knew being the fifth wheel with me and Fred and Blaise and Susan wasn't always easy for her so it would be nice to see her blossom in a relationship as well. They meet in Hogsmeade at the tea shoppe and I smile when I see them both show up. They looked so beautiful and yet so nervous at the same time it was honestly adorable. I decide to leave to give them time together since the next date would take a lot more planning on my part.
