Fred wrote me to let me know that they were staying at the Leaky Cauldron for the last week of summer. So, that meant Pyper and I had to somehow get there from Alex's house. Fred suggested using the Knight Bus which I will never ride it EVER again. We step into the Leaky Cauldron and immediately I feel a bit out of place. That is until I see a head of fiery red hair and I run at my boyfriend, definitely having missed him all summer. He wraps me in a hug and George pretends to throw up in the background. I laugh at him, in way too good of a mood to let a little bit of teasing ruin my day. "Where's my baby sister?" I yell and Ginny comes up to me. "I may as well change my name at this point. I'm just baby sister to everyone" she teases and Pyper shakes her head. "Nope, that one's baby sister to me" she says, pointing at me and I stick my tongue out at her. "Mum just ordered breakfast if you two want first dibs" Fred says and I see Ron already digging in. "It's a bit late for that" I tease and Mrs. Weasley swats Ron's arm. "Guests first, you know better" she says and he pouts. "They were busy talking" he mumbles and I roll my eyes. "5 minutes won't kill you, Ronald" I say, making a plate of pancakes and some bacon and sausage before finding a spot to sit and eat. Pyper and Ginny take their food to a different table and I'm about halfway through my plate before Fred comes and finds me. "How was Egypt?" I ask and he smiles. "It was amazing! We haven't really been able to go on a vacation like that before so it was nice for mum and dad to see us all having fun and getting along for once. It seems there's always a fight going on in the house so it's nice they got a break" he says and I nod. "I had fun visiting Alex and of course I love Minnie but this is my favorite part of summer" I admit and he smiles fondly at me. "I'm glad to hear that. I missed you" he says, kissing my head. "Barf. Are you two going to be gross all week?" Ron asks and I sigh. "We aren't being gross. We haven't even kissed in front of you or anything. You're gross, by the way. You have dirt on your nose and syrup on your shirt" I say and Fred laughs. "That's not that gross. You forget this is a house with 5 boys, dirt and syrup are child's play" Ginny says and I make a face. "I'm so glad I don't have brothers" I mumble and Fred laughs at me. "They aren't all bad. You're never bored or out of people to annoy" he says and I roll my eyes. "That must be nice. I know I annoy Pyper so much she's started hiding from me at times" I say and Pyper rolls her eyes. "It's just in the summer, when all your friends are too far away to keep you busy. I can only hear 'I'm bored' so many times before I have to lock myself away from you" she says and I pout. "It's not my fault that Minnie doesn't have anything fun in her house" I mumble. "Hey, no pouting. I have a surprise for you" he says, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small jewelry bag. He opens the bag and there's a small beaded bracelet with a heart shaped topaz stone on it. "It's so pretty" I say, hugging him and George rolls his eyes. "The shop keep told him to put it in a box but the box was too expensive" George says and Fred glares at him. "That's not true! The box was odd shaped and wouldn't fit in my pocket" he says and I smile. "I wouldn't have minded anyways. The bracelet is perfect" I say, kissing him and George sighs. "Mum, make it stop" he groans and Molly just smiles at us. "They're cute leave them alone" she says. "Why don't we all go get our school supplies since we're already in Diagon Alley" Percy suggests and I nod, holding Fred's hand as we head out. We stay with the group through most of the trip but once we have our school stuff Fred and I decide to sneak away to get a quick date in. We head to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor and each get a cone before holding hands and walking around. We talked about our summer and just caught up and it was such a nice afternoon we almost didn't notice the glares from Molly and Percy. "We didn't run away, we just went for ice cream. The rooms are too tiny for any privacy here and we hadn't seen each other all summer" Fred says and Molly rolls her eyes. "If you would have asked first I wouldn't have minded" she says. I nod, going to our room and laying down. It had been a long day and I was already tired.
