Alyssa. Her name gives me the creeps.
Alyssa was someone I loved dearly.
I miss her.
She was sweet, little Alyssa.
When I was 11 years old, which was in 6th grade, I made a friend who had just moved into my neighborhood. I felt kinda bad for her because she had no friends.
So we started hanging out together. It turns out she was actually a really nice girl. She was so funny, that when I drank milk, I would laugh so hard that milk came squirting out my nose.
We were friends for about 3 years. Until high school started.
We just kind of parted ways. We would hang out sometimes, but we had just grown apart.
One day, we decided to go to the fair.
There were tons of rides, like the Tongue Twister, the Stomach Twirler, and the X-treme Ride.
As we went on the X-treme Ride, Alyssa was scared out of her mind. I could picture it now, Alyssa screaming for her life, and me laughing at her.
Then the accident happened.
The ride broke down and she was dangling from one of the rails. Every night I hear that bloodcurdling scream.
I held onto her hand, but I wasn't strong enough. I was afraid to save her.
With hot tears running down my cheeks, I dropped her.
I saw the blood, I heard her scream and the loud thud.
I saw her head hanging from one of the rails.
She was impaled. Her dismembered body parts were on the blood-soaked grass.
That was Alyssa. That was her. I miss her dearly.
I keep on seeing her. The reason why Derek sees her, is because he was on the ride too. Ever since then, we have been friends. Every Sunday, instead of going to church, we go to her grave and pray for her to not only have a happy life, but for her to leave us alone. We hope that one day she will let us be.
Her parents killed themselves after the accident. They used to live two houses down to the right from my house.
They say the house is haunted. But that is the least of my concerns.
I wish she would leave our minds, so I can feel what it's like to be happy again.
But I can't. She is Alyssa, and she will never stop haunting our minds.

The next morning I ate breakfast and silently walked out of the house. The clock read 12:00 p.m.
I called Derek and asked if he wanted to go swimming with me at his house, and he said yes. I would meet him at 1:00.
I decided to head to the abandoned city because it was too early. I walked through the old town. I was surprised to see a couple people walking around a...is that a market?
An animal shelter?
I blinked a couple times to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
But it was real. No one is allowed in this city. I gulped and headed back towards Derek's house.
I knocked on the door, and it immediately opened. Derek was already in his swimsuit, then I realized I forgot to buy one. "Crap!" I muttered.
"What's wrong?" He asked. I sigh and say, "I forgot my swimming suit."
Derek nods and says, "I can take you to get it."
I smile and grab his wrist.

We stop at Ross to get a cheap bikini.
I ended up picking a plain blue bikini that looked nice.
After getting back to his house, I changed into the swimming suit and I jumped into the water and swam for a while alone. Then he joined me.
I splashed him, then he splashed back at me. "Hey!" I said while laughing.
I swam underwater for a second, and I caught a glimpse of something. I saw blonde hair that had mud all over it, a blood-soaked dress, and a deformed face.
"Alyssa?" My voice said underwater.
Suddenly, she pulled me and I blacked out.
