Hey guys! Sorry for all the POV switches. But Alex is back again! YAY! Okay so where we left off was Charles needs to have a conversation with her about stuff. Lol, I couldn't have been anymore specific. Anyways, enjoy!

His swift body maneuvers through the crowded outdoors as leads me to a huge 2-story mansion. Obviously his house, he is the leader and--

He turns right and walks away from the house. "Um not to be stalker-ish or anything but, isn't that your house?"

He chuckles softly. A subtle sound I almost never hear. It sounds kinda like--

"Don't assume that just because I'm The Governor means I live in fancy houses." He says, slightly annoyed. He leads me into a private part of Allensville and there is a lone house surrounded by dead grass. We enter the house.

"Why do you live here alone?" I ask curiously. He shrugs and guides me to a modern wooden chair.

"So, we are here to talk about something in particular. Something I have never told anyone." He cautiously looks me in the eye, and it is filled with sternness.

I nod my head slowly. "Why are you telling me, out of everyone here? Why not Jessica, or Will?" I ask.

He looks down for a split second and then says, "Something about you," he pauses, trying to find the words. "You're special. You, Derek, and Alyssa had it. The bright blue eyes full of determination. But Derek wasn't cooperative and he never will be. Alyssa...well she was a bit too emotional. She sobbed over working in a field." I nod slowly.

But why does he trust me?

"I won't tell you anything yet. I need to gain your trust. And you have to promise," I freeze at the word promise. "that you will not try to escape. This is a sanctuary, not a prison. You must learn that. Derek will certainly try to save you, there's no doubt about that. But you can't be with him anymore."

I look down. He continues talking, "Derek is going to join a group very soon called, 'Ceres'. They are evil. They want to start a world war." I fiddle with my thumbs and furrow my brows.

"Why would he join a group like that?" I ask, my voice cracking.

He smiles sympathetically. "He will be tricked into thinking that our sanctuary is a torturous prison."

Tears form in my eyes as I say, "Okay. I promise."

I hug myself to take away the feeling that I will never see my best friend again. I will never forget that my parents are gone--

I gasp as I realize that my father isn't dead. I turn around and run towards the governor's house. I push my legs further even though they plead me to stop, and as I reach his house I pound on the door.

"Charles! Open the door, now!" I say with force.

The door opens and Charles gives me a strange look. "What?"

"Where is my father?" I demand.

He shakes his head and starts to talk, but interrupt. "I won't promise if you don't show me my father." I say in a low voice.

He sighs frustratingly and mutters, "Follow me."

We walk for about 20 minutes until we get back to the heart of the city. He opens the door to the library, and there he is.

"Dad?!" I yell with tears in my eyes as I run towards him. He has a prosthetic arm.

"Alex?" He says. I nod and leap into his arms, practically tackling him.

I cry as he hold me in his strong arms. He's here, he's really here.

I hold him close as we walk back to his house. It's a normal house, same as all the other ones.

I open the door and kiss his cheek. "I love you Dad." I whisper.
