Chapter 34
Playing the Fool

Daimon Clyde's eyes stay locked on mine and everything goes silent. He looks at me for a couple more seconds before his gaze shifts to the writing on the board. Something inside me stirs and I quickly try to block his line of sight.

Panic.

Shame.

Guilt.

Please don't look.

I probably look pathetic. But he only gives me a soft smile. As if to say I should not worry.

Celestine Demafelix fucks her own brother, it still screams in bright red.

As soon as Daimon sees it, his expression changes. His blue eyes no longer reflect warmth. It's now replaced with a cold, grim, hard stare. And suddenly the room is full of tension.

He doesn't speak.

He just walks slowly toward the front desk. All eyes are on him, including mine. He opens a drawer, grabs an eraser, before pushing it close—slowly, quietly, as if breaking the silence will awaken a beast.

No one else speaks.

I only know one thing.

The look on his eyes can kill.

He levels his gaze to the students in front of him, his eyes landing on the first person he sees. A girl from Northvale. The one who usually talks with Dylan Wright. I remember her name is Sasha.

I see her go nervous, but she tries to hide it. Her eyes glance sideways as Daimon gradually closes the distance between them. Now he's in front of her, and she has no choice but to look up and meet his gaze.

"W-What?" she says in a defiant tone.

Daimon doesn't reply.

His face remains deadpan. His eyes still cold. Then he drops the eraser on Sasha's desk. He tilts his head to his left before speaking in a low voice, enunciating each word clearly.

"Erase that filth on the board."

Sasha's mouth opens in disbelief like she's insulted. "Huh? Why would I—"

Daimon slams his fist on her desk, making Sasha jerk in surprise. We're all wide-eyed and unable to move, except for Daimon who lowers his ruthless gaze to the trembling student in front of him. "Don't make me repeat myself."
