Virgil took a deep breath before knocking on the door to his new apartment. The sun was setting, barely irritating his eyes, but the bright glare from the windows stung. He fiddled with the strap of his duffle bag. A few moments later, someone opened the door.

The person who stood in front of Virgil wore a blue polo shirt and round glasses.

"Hey kiddo! You must be our fourth roommate!" The person giggled, " I'm Patton!"

"He-hey." Virgil stammered, "I'm-I'm Virgil, but you can call me Virge."

"Well it's nice to meet you Virge!" Patton smiled, "Why don't you come on in?"

Virgil smiled lightly as he felt the barrier keeping him from entering fall. Once he establishes a residence here that shouldn't be a problem. Virgil followed Patton past the living room and down a hall.

"I hope you don't mind, but the only room left is at the back of the hall and there's no windows here." Patton explained, opening the dark wood door.

Virgil silently cheered, "That's fine. I prefer the dark anyway."

"Alright kiddo." Patton smiled, "I'll let you get settled and if you want you can come out to meet the others tonight. We're having a movie night!"

Virgil chuckled at the others excitement, "okay. I might go out for a bit after I have everything set up."

Patton nodded, "Okay!  We'll see you in a bit kiddo!"

Virgil smiled and nodded as Patton left him to get settled. The darkly dressed one walked over to the bed and dumped his duffle bag on the covers. Virgil sat down heavily next to it. He hadn't eaten all day due to travel, and before that he only had a bit of cow blood from a passing farm. Virgil sighed. He'd sneak out later tonight and take some bloodbags from the nearby hospital. Virgil smiled lightly. What a coincidence that this cheap apartment was located by a hospital?

Virgil sighed and stood up. He could sort his clothes later, right now he wanted to find out what these movies were.

When Virgil got to the living room, he saw Patton talking to two others. One of them looked, well, perfect. Too perfect. And very loud and dramatic. Virgil immediately didn't like him.

The other one wore a black shirt and blue tie. He seemed quiet, intellectual. Virgil saw dark bags under the guys eyes, nearly dark enough to rival Virgil's eyeshadow.

"Virgil!" Patton cheered, bounding over to the dark one.

"Uh, hey." Virgil pulled his sleeves over his hands.

"Greetings!" The perfect one shouted, "I am Prince Roman, at your service!"

"Thanks." Virgil said dryly.

The other one rolled his eyes, "Salutations, I am Logan. Please excuse the want to be Prince. Has been annoying me all day."

Roman made an offended noise while Virgil just smirked.

"I'm Virgil, but you can call me Virge." The emo said.

"It is nice to meet you Virgil." Logan gave a polite nod of his head.

Patton giggled, "Alright! You three can pick out a movie and I'll make the popcorn!"

"Okay Patt!" Roman laughed, gracefully setting down on the couch, "So what do you two want to watch?"

Virgil shrugged and sat on an armchair, "You two can choose."

"I'm not partial to any movies." Logan yawned, "I'm simply here to get to know my new roommates."

Roman smiled, "Then I guess I shall choose the movie."

Virgil rolled his eyes. Patton came back as the movie started. Virgil was mesmerized to say the least. Never in his entire vampire life bad he ever seen something like that. It was amazing. Virgil smiled softly. Maybe the human world would suit him well.
