After breakfast, Logan went back to his room and Roman took a walk through town. Virgil never showed up for breakfast, much to Patton's disappointment.
Patton sighed, making his wings visible. He shrunk down to about three inches tall. It was always much more fun to fly around when he was tiny. Patton giggled and flew around the room, eventually landing on the window sill.
Just as he was about to open the window, he heard the from door open. Patton gasped slightly and hid behind the curtain, hoping the whoever was coming in didn't see the light blue glow that surrounded his wings.
Patton peeked around the curtain to see Virgil walking to his room with a bag. Virgil's hood was up and his eyes were covered with a pair of sunglasses. Strange...
Patton flitted after him, curious as to what his new roommate was up to. Virgil looked over his shoulder and Patton hid in the light fixture. Patton watched Virgil enter his room and close the door behind him.
The fairy flew down and looked through the keyhole. Before he could see anything, Roman opened the front door.
"Patt? Are you here?" Roman asked, closing the door behind him.
Patton jumped slightly, quickly turning back to a normal human size and hiding his wings.
"Hey Ro!" Patton chirped, bouncing into the kitchen.
"There you are Patt!" Roman smiled, "I was thinking I could help you make lunch?"
"Sure!" Patton giggled, "What do you want to eat?"
"I have some ideas." Roman winked at Patton, making the fairy blush, "but for now, how about pasta and garlic bread?"
Patton laughed, covering his red face, "sure!"
Roman slung his arm around Patton's shoulders, "Why don't we get started then!"
Patton nodded and Roman moved them into the kitchen. Roman started on the pasta while Patton put the bread in the oven to toast. Patton stood up and Roman put a glob of sauce on Patton's nose. Patton laughed and rubbed it off. Roman smiled that brilliant smile that Patton fawned over.
Patton giggled. This was a very good idea.
