"L, please be careful." Virgil mumbled into Logan's neck.

"I know Virge." Logan whispered, "and I will be, don't worry."

Virgil sighed and nodded, pulling away from the hug. Logan placed a small kiss to his boyfriends lips, then picked up his bag and walked into the forest.

The werewolf sat down and waited for his transformation to occur. Soon, he felt the familiar ach in his bones and itch in his skin. His body shifted, quickly and painfully, until the black wolf stood alone in the moonlight.

The wolf sniffed the air, searching for prey, but the scent that caught it's attention was... familiar? Nice. The scent calmed it. The wolf padded over to a bag, ripping it open to find the source of the scent.

The wolf dragged a garment away from the shredded bag. It took a long sniff of it and something clicked. Virgil. The scent was Virgil. The wolf sniffed the hoodie again, curling up on top of it. He would stay there for the night and wait out the transformation.

The wolf heard something in the trees and his head snapped up. Logan watched as a man walked toward him, a gun pointed at his head. The strange man seemed surprised, then sighed and put his gun away.

"You're no werewolf." The man said, slowly approaching Logan, "you're just a tamed wolf lost from its owner."

The man scratched behind Logan's ears. Logan decided he quite liked that and made a mental note to tell Virgil the next time he got a chance.

The man stopped petting the wolf and sighed again, "either way, there's still a vamp here and it's only a matter of time til it starts killin people."

Logan made another mental note to tell Virgil that too.

The man stood and pulled out his gun again, "well, I got a vamp and a werewolf to find. Be a good pup and find your owner."

Logan huffed as the man walked away. So that was a hunter. Logan didn't like him. The werewolf curled back up on Virgil's soft hoodie, slowly falling into a restless sleep.
