Patton woke up with a small yawn, still tiny on Roman's chest. He looked up at his still sleeping boyfriend and blinked in surprise. Roman seemed... different.
He had freckles! Patton squeaked in happiness, accidentally waking up Roman.
"Morning, mi amor." Roman chuckled.
"Morning Ro!" Patton giggled, "how long have you had freckles?!"
Roman's cheeks went red and he frowned, hiding his face with a couch pillow. Patton flitted up to Roman's face.
"Ro?" Patton asked quietly, "Are you okay."
"I didn't want you to see me like this." Roman's muffled voice came from under the pillow.
Patton tilted his head, "why?"
Roman sighed and removed the pillow from his face, "because I don't look perfect."
"You look perfect to me." Patton said, kissing Roman's nose.
Roman smiled, showing the small gap between his front teeth. Patton giggled brightly.
"You look adorable!" Patton smiled, turning himself human sized and kissing Roman softly.
"Thank you love." Roman said once they broke apart.
Patton smiled, "Are you taller?"
Roman nodded, "I'm around six feet."
Patton giggled, "you're the tallest then, I think."
Roman chuckled and nodded. Patton layed down on Roman's chest again, loosely hugging him.
"I love you Ro." Patton whispered.
"I love you too Patt." Roman smiled into his boyfriends neck.
Logan and Virgil came around the corner, talking quietly. They walked into the kitchen. Roman hugged Patton a little tighter. Maybe one day he'll be comfortable enough to not hide from the others.
