Patton skipped along next to Roman, holding the shapeshifters hand. They had just bought groceries for the apartment and were now making their way back. Patton had even snuck into the hospital to get some blood for Virgil.
Someone ran into Patton's shoulder. The fairy's eyes widened when he look at the person. One word went through his head. Monster hunter.
"Are you okay Patt?" Roman asked.
"Uh, yeah." Patton said, "um, let's get home."
Roman nodded and continued walking, "did you know that person?"
Patton shook his head, "no. But I recognised him."
"What do you mean?" Roman asked.
"He was a monster hunter." Patton started to shake slightly, "he k-kills anyone who's n-not human."
"It's okay Patt." Roman pulled Patton into a one armed hug, "we'll just lay low for a while until he leaves."
Patton nodded and and let Roman take him back to the apartment. Roman unlocked the door and walked in, setting the bags of groceries on the counter.
"Hey gays." Virgil yawned, walking I to the kitchen.
"Hey Virge," Patton said, "can you bring Logan in here? We all need to talk."
Virgil frowned, "um, okay."
The vampire walked back to Logan's room, soon bringing his boyfriend out to the kitchen.
"What is this all about?" Logan asked tiredly, adjusting his glasses.
"There's a monster hunter in town." Patton said, shaking to his wings.
Virgil's eyes went wide, "W-what?"
"What is a monster hunter?" Logan asked.
"It's someone who hunts us." Virgil said.
Roman sighed, sitting backwards in a chair, "in all my years I've never met a hunter. Shapeshifters are hard to catch after all."
"I had some distant family killed by a hunter." Virgil shuddered.
"I'm sorry." Logan said, slipping his hand into Virgil's.
"It's fine L." Virgil rested his head on his boyfriends shoulder.
"I think we should lay low for a little bit." Patton said, playing with his fingers.
"I agree." Virgil sighed.
"But the full moon is tomorrow." Logan reminded everyone.
"Damn." Roman cursed quietly.
"We'll figure something out." Patton said, "i-it'll be okay."
Virgil nodded, "yeah. Yeah, it'll work out somehow."
