Logan was organizing his stuff for tonight when someone put a blindfold over his eyes.

Logan thrashed around, trying to get out of the others grip, "What are you-!"

"Relax Nerd," Roman said, "there's a surprise for you."

"I really don't have the time for this." Logan tried to take the blindfold off.

Logan's efforts were stopped by Roman.

"Hold on Logan." Roman tutted, "I'm taking you to your surprise and you are not to say a word!"

Logan sighed and rolled his eyes even though no one could see, "Fine."

Roman lead Logan out. Logan could practically hear Roman's smirk as they walked. After a few minutes of walking, Roman took the blindfold off.

Virgil was standing next to an indigo blanket with candles and a picnic spread. In his hand, was a single, blue rose.

Virgil smiled a little, "H-hey L."

"Virgil," Logan felt his face heat up, "What is all this for?"

Virgil shuffled his feet, "Logan, I-I really like- I've had feelings- I'm sorry, I-"

"Virgil," Logan took the anxious emo's hands, "I like you too."

Virgil gave Logan a weak smile, throwing his arms around the other. Logan smiled and hugged him back. The two sat down and started to pull out the food. They talked and ate for a few minutes before Logan went quiet.

"Are you okay L?" Virgil asked, noticing the others silence.

Logan smiled and tilted Virgil's chin up, "may I kiss you?"

Virgil nodded slightly. They moved forward, slowly closing the gap between them. Their lips barely brushed each other, when Logan curled in on himself with a yelp.

"Logan!" Virgil shouted, grabbing the others shoulder.

"V-virge, r-run!" Logan yelled, twisting in pain.

"What?" Virgil said, "no!"

"Run!" Logan snarled.

Virgil jumped back, hitting a tree as he watched Logan writhe and transform. The vampires breath caught in his throat. Laying in front of him was a huge, black wolf.

The wolf slowly stood and shook itself out. It's sides heaved with the energy spent transforming. Virgil watched in awe.

"L-logan?" Virgil whispered.

The wolf whirled around, snarling at the vampire. It's deep blue eyes gazing piercingly at Virgil. It took a step. Virgil was frozen.

The wolf lunged.

"NO!"

Virgil saw light blue wings, almost completely transparent, dart infront of him. Patton was standing between Virgil and the wolf, his arm caught in the wolf's jaws.

The wolf growled and threw Patton to the side. Patton yelped and shrank, hitting Roman's chest, who had just come out from the trees. Roman gently caught the unconscious fairy as he fell.

"Patton?" Roman whispered.

The wolf snarled at Virgil, getting too close to him for Virgil's own comfort. Roman noticed and carefully tucked Patton into his shirt pocket. He shapeshifted a sword in his hand and pointed it at the wolf.

"Back away from him, beast!" Roman shouted.

"Woah! Roman! It's Logan!" Virgil yelled.

Roman grip on the sword faltered, "what?!"

The wolf lunged at Roman, who sliced at the wolf. The sword cut a line down the wolf's front leg. The wolf yelped, landing hard on its side. It got up slowly, shaking it's head, then ran off as fast as it could.

Roman let the sword shift back to nothing and rushed over to Virgil.

"Are you okay?" Roman asked, helping Virgil to his feet.

Virgil nodded, "I-Im fine."

"So Logan's a werewolf." Roman said, "I guess that explains some things."

Virgil nodded again, "And Patton's a fairy."

"So are you the only human in the apartment?" Roman asked.

"What?" Virgil looked at Roman.

"I'm a shapeshifter." Roman said, changing his hair to purple and back.

"Oh, okay, cool." Virgil stared at the other with wide eyes, "I'm a vampire."

Roman blinked for a moment, "You know, that actually makes so much sense, how did we not figure that out sooner."

"How did we not know that Patton-" Virgil gasped, "Patton! Is he okay!?"

Roman quickly and gently pulled Patton from his pocket. The fairy was still unconscious and had blood smeared all over his arm. His wings were glowing much less than before.

Virgil sighed, "Let's get him home and just... think."

Roman nodded and held Patton close as they started walking back. They had a lot to talk about tomorrow.
