"I don't like this..." Patton whimpered, tucking his knife away.

"It'll be okay love." Roman hugged his boyfriend.

Patton nodded and leaned into Romans chest. It would all be over after this, Patton reminded himself.

"Hurry up," Dee hissed, "we don't have all night."

Patton sighed, "Okay."

"Don't worry Patt," Roman whispered as they left, "I'll protect you."

Roman slipped his hand into Patton's. They heard Logan whispering to Virgil, trying to calm the vampire.

"Shh!" Dee commanded, "he's here."

The group waited, weapons at the ready. It was deathly silent. Virgil felt a breeze on the back of his neck right before a sharp, burning pain exploded in his shoulder.

"FUCK!" Virgil screamed, collapsing to the ground.

"Virgil!" Logan yelled, lunging toward his boyfriend.

The werewolf was stopped by a slash across his chest with a silver knife.

"I never would have thought you monsters would be so stupid to just fall into my hands." The hunter laughed.

"Who are you?" Roman asked, readying his sword.

The hunter laughed again, bowing slightly, "my name is Axel."

"Well Axel," Remus smirked, "Prepare to DIE!"

Axel easily dodged Remus, targeting Patton next. The hunter aimed to attack, but Roman deflected it, pulling Patton behind him. Axel chuckled and pulled out a gold knife.

"Shapeshifters that look alike." Axel smirked, "Brothers?"

"Shut up." Dee hissed.

"The dark fairy." Axel chuckled, "where's your wings fairy?"

"Shut up!" Dee yelled, charging the hunter.

Axel grabbed Dee around his neck with a metal glove. The dark fairy screamed.

"Decy!" Remus yelled.

The shapeshifter charged forward and stabbed the hunter through the heart. Dee was dropped as the hunter collapsed to the ground.

"R-ree?" Dee croaked.

Slowly, the shapeshifter turned around, a large smile on his face. Tears came to Roman's eyes as he ran over and cought his brother. Dee crawled over, pulling his boyfriend into his lap.

"Remus..." Roman whispered, trying not to move the gold knife lodged deep in his brothers chest.

Remus laughed, "it's okay."

"No," Dee sobbed hoarsely, "No Ree you can't leave me..."

"Dee, it's okay." Remus said, "I love you, with or without your wings."

Dee sobbed, letting Remy's gently brush his tears away.

"Ro," Remus turned to his brother, "You don't have to hide what you look like, you've always been perfect."

"No, Remus don't say that." Roman cried.

Remus laughed lightly, "Remember me, though I have to say goodbye. Remember me, don't let it make you cry. For even if I'm far away, I'll hold you in my heart, I'll sing a secret song to you each night we are apart..."

Remus trailed off as his eyes slipped closed.

Roman sobbed, letting Dee pull him close. The shapeshifter clung to the fairy's arm as he cried.

"It's okay Roman," Dee whispered, "it's okay."

Virgil leaned on Logan, both in shock of what happened. Patton knelt by Roman, gently taking him from Dee.

"It's over Ro." Patton whispered, "Lets get home now."
