Logan woke up hearing small sniffles and whimpers. He probably wouldn't have heard it if his hearing wasn't so sensitive. Logan opened his eyes to see Virgil twitching in his sleep.

"Virge?" Logan gently shook the vampire.

Virgil tensed, but didn't wake up. Logan sat up and pulled Virgil close. Virgil jolted awake, grabbing Logan's shirt tightly.

"Are you okay Virge?" Logan asked.

Virgil shook his head, breathing hard, "blood. Haven't had any."

"When was the last time you had any?" Logan carded his fingers through Virgil's hair.

"Two days." Virgil whimpered, curling in on his stomach.

"Do you have any in your room?" Logan asked.

Virgil nodded. Logan stood up, telling Virgil he'd be right back. Virgil curled up on Logan's bed, the need for blood clouding his mind and vision.

"Virge?"

Virgil felt a hand on his back, holding him to sit up. Logan helped him drink the blood.

"Better?" Logan asked after Virgil drank the entire bag.

Virgil nodded, leaning against his boyfriend, "thanks."

"Is it too light in here?" Logan questioned, ready to take Virgil to his room.

Virgil smiled softly and shook his head, "no, it's alright."

"Okay." Logan said, "just remember, you need to take care of yourself."

Virgil rolled his eyes, "I know."

Logan hugged Virgil. The vampire rested his head on Logan's chest. Logan kissed the top of his boyfriends head. Virgil sighed and closed his eyes, enjoying the warmth of his boyfriend.

"Hey, L?" Virgil asked quietly, "we're you born as a werewolf or turned?"

"I was turned." Logan said, "I'll tell you sometime if you would like."

"That would be fun." Virgil smirked, "I'm a third gen vampire."

"Third gen?" Logan asked.

Virgil blinked in surprise, "oh! You're an original turned! You wouldn't know about that."

"A what?" Logan asked, getting more confused.

Virgil chuckled, "someone who was turned is called an original. If two originals have a child then the child is a first gen. If an original and a human have a child, then it's a half breed. If a gen and on original have a child, then it's first gen again."

"Fasinating." Logan said, his eyes shining, "What about if a half breed and a gen?"

"Then it goes back to first gen." Virgil explained.

Logan smiled and hugged Virgil, "thank you."

Virgil smiled, "why?"

"I never would have known about this without you." Logan whispered.

Virgil smiled and tucked his face in Logan's chest. Logan smiled back.

"Why don't we go get something to eat for breakfast?" Logan asked.

Virgil nodded and together, the vampire and werewolf walked to the kitchen.
