Once Virgil and Logan finished their lunch, they decided to go out and see how Patton and Roman were doing. What they weren't expecting to see were two strange men in their living room.

One had snake scales on the side of his face. He was curled up on the armchair, seemingly asleep. Logan took notice of the burnmarks on the scales.

The other was on the couch. He had a moustache and his torso was wrapped in white bandages.

"Oh, hey kiddos." Patton said quietly, walking out from the kitchen.

"Hey Patt," Virgil muttered, "um, who..?"

Patton sighed, "that's Dee and his boyfriend, Remus. They were attacked by the hunter."

"Why are they here?" Logan asked.

"Dee came because him and Patt were childhood friends." Roman sighed, "and Remus is my brother."

"I see." Logan nodded.

"Dee said that we'd have to kill the hunter to be left alone," Patton whispered, "is... is that true? Are we gonna have to..."

"Shh, it's okay Patt." Roman hugged his boyfriend, "we'll try not to, but if anyone is in danger, I won't hesitate to protect my friends."

Patton whimpered and buried his face in Roman's chest.

"Dee?" A voice came from the couch.

"He's asleep Remus." Roman said.

The wounded shapeshifter smiled, "Hello brother. Long time no attempted murder."

Roman chuckled, "hi Remus. I see you're still as demented as ever."

Remus laughed, waking up his boyfriend.

"Ree?" Dee yawned, sitting up.

"Hey Decy." Remus smiled at his boyfriend.

"Are you alright, my squid?" Dee asked, getting up and hugging Remus.

"Squid?" Logan asked.

Roman sighed, "it's his favorite thing to shapeshift into."

"Oh! The humans know about us!" Remus chuckled.

"We're not humans." Virgil said.

"That is correct," Logan stated, "I am a werewolf and Virgil is a vampire."

"Oh, interesting." Remus purred.

Dee shoved Remus gently, "hey! You're my boyfriend."

Remus laughed and kissed Dee, "I know."

Patton giggled, "You all must be hungry, why don't I make lunch?"
