I woke up to the noise of a door slamming.
Seconds after that I heard arguing downstairs, thank god my mom came home tonight...

Around 15 minutes later I heard footsteps going up the stairs. After that my door slowly cracked open. My mom sat on my bed and began to pull her fingers through my hair.

"Hey, sweetheart. Are you still awake?" She whispered softly in my ear. I opened my eyes so I could see my mom there.

"Yea I woke up to the noise downstairs" I wispered soft to her.

"Oh, I'm sorry sweetheart. I didn't mean for you to hear that" She said with a sorry look on her face. "Anyways, why are all your bags packed?" She asked me with raised eyebrows.

I hastened for a second before answering her question. "I-I'm leaving" I said softly without looking my mother in the eyes.

"But why sweetheart, you have nowhere to live" She said kind of shocked by my answer.

I looked up so I could look her in the eyes. "Because mom, you're never home, my own dad abuses and rapes me. Where are you all the time?! I know you're scared of dad but why don't you just leave forever? " I took a deep breath "I am leaving because I'm not happy here, I only suffer in this house and at school I'm being bullied. I need to find happiness because now I'm only breaking no matter what I do"

She tough for a moment to take it all in. "I know you're suffering and hurting here. That's why I'm going to help you leave this place, I will take you tonight and will drop you off in L.A. you need to figure the rest out yourself"

I looked at her in disbelieve, she is really letting me leave? This is why I love my mom. She is always so understanding but never at home.

"Thank you mom, I'm gonna sleep right now but wake me up when dad is asleep and we can leave. Thank you so much" I kissed her on the cheek and layed down.

My mom left the room and closed the door behind her.

Around 3am my mom sneaked into my room and told me to change and be ready in 10 minutes. After I changed in a hoodie and leggings I run downstairs ready to go. When my mom came out of the house we left and started driving.

After an hour drive we arrived at a bus stop near LA. My mom gave me money and told me to take the bus.

When I arrived at a random stop in LA I got out of the bus and started walking.
I was getting tired so I looked for a good spot to sleep. When I finally found a good spot I layed down on the cold ground and tried to make myself comfy.

***next day***
When I woke up I decided to walk further. After a few minutes I tripped over a stone and fell to the ground, I saw that there was a cut in my knee so I decided to go ask someone for help. I stumbled up and walked to find a house because I was litterly in the middle of nowhere.

When I finally found a house I knocked on the front door and waited for it to open.
It was a pretty big house so when a boy around 19 years old opened the door I was kinda shocked. he had the most beautiful eyes. Ocean blue, Breath taking beautiful

We stood there for a moment until the blue eyed boy asked me "How can I help you? "
