Steven, Isabella, Garnet, and Pearl were on the beach, getting ready to watch the fireworks. Pearl had a yellow sweater on while Garnet wore a jacket that said, "Cool Dad!" on the back.

"Like this?" Pearl asks the two siblings.

"Yeah! You guys are killin' it!" Steven told them as the four sat down on a blanket.

Steven was wearing a sweater with star designs and a scarf around his neck. Isabella had a white, fluffy jacket on to keep herself warm.

Steven takes out some pots and pans to the three before getting himself some, "And here are some pots and pans. We got to make lots of noise. Dad, Sis, and I do this every year. I brought some for Amethyst, too. They should be here any second."

"Why would Amethyst come with Dad?" Isabella asks.

Pearl gasps, "Are they hanging out again?"

"What do you mean, again?" Isabella asks.

"They'd better not be watching that dumb show." Garnet had her arms crossed.

"Li'l Butler?" Steven asked.

Garnet made a "Kshhhh..." noise.

"Un-be-lievable! They really are!" Pearl exclaims as the people started to count down, "They used to disappear for days, watching those obnoxious tapes over and over and over. Until..."

"Until what?" Steven asked.

"I don't know. One day, they just... stopped." Pearl explained as the fireworks began.

People cheered and applauded as they watched the fireworks.

Steven looks down timidly at his pan and blushes, grasping the handle.

"Happy New Year!" Pearl hits her pan lightly with a wooden spoon, blushing, "How's my volume?"

Garnet stands up, "It's low." she clangs her pots together loudly, causing everyone to cover their ears.

Later at the U-stor...

"So, they're in there?" Isabella asks as Steven nods. She sighs and glares at the U-stor, "Let's go."

Steven grasps her hand and guides her through the mess. They stopped walking and hid when they heard Greg speak.

"What's that? I'm missing the fireworks! It's past midnight! How did I get so sucked into this show again? It's like everything else just disappears!" Greg groaned.

"Woah, woah, don't go! We're having a really good time! Here. Look. I've got the 2 part Hawaii special." Amethyst puts a tape into the VCR.

"But Steven and Isabella really wanted me to do New Year's."

"They'll be fine. They're tough."

"I wanted to be there!"

"Here. Here. It would have been like this." The two heard Amethyst shapeshifting into someone, "Whoa! Fireworks!" she laughs in Steven's voice before shapeshifting into someone else, "Hey, Dad, come on! Now let's watch some Li'l Butler!" Amethyst spoke with Isabella's voice.

"Amethyst, you know how I feel about shape-shifting." Greg says.

"Geeze, sorry. I was just trying to cheer you up." Amethyst blushes before shapeshifting into Greg, "Oh, that's right...I forgot. You're soooo sensitive."

"I know you like making me uncomfortable, but it's not funny. I can't stay here and humor you. I have to be there for my children."

The two siblings heard Amethyst shapeshifting again, "Well, what about me, huh? I had someone who was always there for me until she started hanging out with YOU!"

"Don't do this, Amethyst. Seriously."

"I bet you'd stay for her."

"You wouldn't."

"What? Do this?" The two heard Amethyst shapeshift again, "Hey, Greg." she chuckles, "Turn around. Check it out!"

"I know you're doing it! I want to be friends again. I really do. But I can't let you do this to me again!" Greg said in a pained voice.

"That's it." Isabella rushes over and stands on top of the couch, "That's enough!"

Amethyst turns to look at her, however she took the form of the siblings' mother, Rose Quartz.
Isabella looks in shock before shutting her eyes as the TV suddenly went to static and Amethyst shapeshifted back to herself in shock and horror.

"What are you two doing?!" Isabella demanded.

Greg and Amethyst looked at her fearfully as Steven covered his mouth, too afraid to say anything.

"I get it. It's hard to deal with stuff from the past. You want to put it off because there's tons of it and it's really heavy and it means a lot to you, so it's hard to let anything go. But you got to. Because this thing is full!" Isabella picks up a cat carrier from the floor, "Seriously, since when did either of us have a cat?!" she throws and breaks the carrier as she looks at the two angrily.

The static from the TV continues as Amethyst looks at Steven and Isabella with wide eyes. She closes them in devastation and runs out of the U-stor. Steven walks over to Greg and places a comforting hand on his arm as the man turned off the TV.

Next day...

Greg, Steven, and Isabella headed over to the U-stor.

"Okay. We're finishing this today." Greg told them.

"Right." Steven adds before the three stop, noticing Pearl carrying a box out of the storage unit.

"Pearl?" Isabella questions as the white gem looks over at them.

Pearl places her hands on her hips, "Hello, Greg. Nice of you to join us."

Greg looks into the empty compartment, "I don't believe it!"

"Woah!" Steven said in amazement.

"I'm so sorry about the mess." Greg apologized.

"Was this... your idea?" Steven asked.

"Well..." Pearl trailed off.

Garnet walked out holding a tall stack of boxes in one hand, "It was Amethyst's idea." she casually drops the stack.

Amethyst sadly walks out holding a single box that says "keep", blushing as everyone looked at her, "I-I just thought we could take all this stuff back to the temple. It can fit in my room. That way, you don't have to throw anything away." she explained before running over to Greg, holding the "keep" box out to him without looking, "But- But you can keep this." she runs back over to the Gems.

Greg opens the box and pulls out the photo of him and Rose. The photo now has a new frame, that was decorated with starfish and seashells, and new glass, no longer broken. Greg tilts it back and an image of him, Isabella, and Steven looking happily at the picture reflects in the glass.

"It looks good as new! Like it was never broken!" Isabella comments.

"Uh... Thank you, Amethyst." Greg thanks.

Amethyst turns slightly, grabs one of her arms shyly, blushing, and walks off with the Gems. Steven, Isabella, and Greg smile at one another as Greg shuts the storage unit for a final time.
