The Gems, Isabella, Steven, and Lion went to a battlefield filled with weapons and strawberries.
"This place is even bigger and more weapon-y than I remember." Steven says.
"This was a site of a historic battle. Every weapon here was left by a Gem over 5,000 years ago." Pearl explains as she, Steven, Isabella, and Lion duck underneath a giant axe, "I don't like to disturb it, but Garnet said we can't just leave these lying around."
Garnet picks up the giant battle-axe, "Never know when you might need one of these."
"I need one of those all the time!" Steven exclaims.
"You need a smaller weapon than that." Isabella told him.
"Why don't you look for one that's more... you?" Pearl adds.
"Okay! Lion, come help me look." Steven says as Lion walks away, getting distracted by a butterfly, "Aw, come on."
"You really need to train that thing better." Pearl told him.
"Well, they've making progress." Isabella says.
"Now he looks at me when I say his name!" Steven begins to repeatedly call Lion's name, but Lion was digging in the dirt, ignoring him completely, "Uh, sometimes..."
Lion's digging reveals a scabbard in the dirt as he picks it up with his mouth.
"What did Lion find?" Isabella asks as the lion turns around.
Pearl gasps, "That's the scabbard for Rose's sword!"
Isabella holds her hand out as Lion drops it into her hand, "Good boy." she gives Pearl the scabbard and pets the lion.
"Mom fought here?" Steven asks.
"That's right! And I fought alongside her." Pearl holds the scabbard close to her.
"Man, I wish I could've seen it!" Amethyst says.
"No, you don't. Countless Gems were broken here. It was a maelstrom of destruction and death." Garnet explained.
Pearl jumps in front of Garnet, "But we won! Your mother led us to glorious victory! The odds were against us, and our hearts were uncertain." she lays the scabbard on her chest dramatically, "But we chose to fight alongside Rose, and here we made our stand against our Homeworld!"
The Crystal Gems warp home.
"This is great! My room's been needing another pile." Amethyst carries some gem weapons to her room.
Garnet followed behind her, carrying the giant axe, "Amethyst! Help me with this axe."
"It's been ages..." Pearl looks at the scabbard and blushes
"Turn it clockwise! No, your other clockwise!" Amethyst told Garnet.
Pearl noticed that the two siblings were staring at them.
"What is it?" Pearl asks them.
"What was Mom like?" Isabella asks her.
"She was courageous, and brilliant and..." Pearl looks over at the portrait of Rose on the wall, "Beautiful..."
"Yeah, lift it backwards!" Amethyst adds.
"Sometimes, you both look so much like her." Pearl told them.
"Really...?" Steven asked with a goofy smile on his face.
Isabella just smiles at the portrait.
