Peridot was holding a tape recorder to record her logs, "Log date 7-11-2. It's the third rotation of the Earth since commencements of a..." she inhales deeply, "...collaborative approach to stopping The Cluster."

"I've finished drawing out the blueprints for the drill head. Peridot, if you could come take a look at this." Pearl calls from outside the barn as Peridot stops her recording.

The green gem walks out of the barn and heads toward Pearl, Amethyst, Steven, and Isabella, "Remind me again why I should listen to you? Oh, right." she rewinds her tape recorder.

"...The Pearl here has exhibited an aptitude for engineering that I begrudgingly respect, though that doesn't explain the spontaneous singing, crying, singing while crying." the recorder says as Amethyst snickers.

"Isabella, why did you and Steven give her that?" Pearl asks them.

"Well, we did destroy all her stuff. Steven and I thought it might make her feel a little better."

"Clods!"

"Muddy clods!"

"-running out of ways to say "clods"!" Peridot stops her recorder again.

Garnet walks over to them with a piece of straw in her mouth, "Alright, I chased away those cows, let's get to work."

Peridot clears her throat, "Before we begin... would you mind un-fusing? It's making me incredibly uncomfortable."

Everyone breaks into an uncomfortable silence as Steven, Isabella, Amethyst, and Pearl look at Garnet. Isabella covers her mouth.

Garnet then ties Peridot to a fence with a child leash and leaves her be.

"What?! ... WHAT'D I SAY?!" Peridot asks.

"Do we really have to do that?" Steven asks her.

"Her having free reign of the place made me incredibly uncomfortable." Garnet told him.

Later, Steven and Amethyst bring a bunch of spare parts to Pearl, who is cutting a turbine with a blowtorch.

"Here you go, Pearl!" Steven told her.

Pearl lifts her helmet up, "Oh, good. Hmm..." she looks at the parts, "No... No, no, no, no, I said I needed tungsten. Tungsten?..."

"Uh... what does "tungsten" look like?" Steven asks.

"Tongue-sten." Amethyst sticks her tongue out.

"I'll get the tungsten!" Isabella told Pearl as she walked off. She grabbed the tungsten and walked back over to where Pearl, Peridot, Amethyst, and Steven were, "Got it!"

"Good. Peridot, if you can get the magnetron out of that microwave, we'll have everything we need... except for the drill head." Pearl says.

"Why don't I just get an injector drill head from the Kindergarten?" Peridot suggests.

"...Oh, well, I guess that's something you could try." Pearl says.

"She's not going to the Kindergarten without a chaperone!" Garnet calls.

"What? You've got to be joking!" Peridot says.
