It's almost the last day of school and I couldn't wait to get out. "Hey (y/n)" I heard Sodapop say. "Hey Soda" I said smiling. "How are you?" he asks. "I'm good and you?" "I'm good also" Sodapop said. When we got to class, we both sat next to each other. I felt like Sodapop was acting weird because he kept on staring at me and putting his head on my shoulder. "You alright" I asked.
"Yeah why?" He asked. I shook my head and kept on copying the notes. Sodapop then started play fighting with me. The teacher separated us and we laughed about it. When class ended, Sodapop dropped me off at my other class and he left. "Hey (y/n)" Ponyboy said. "Hey Pony" I said smiling. Ponyboy notice I was smiling way too much and I usually don't smile at all. "Everything okay?" He asked. "Yeah, everything is great" I said nodding my head and smiling. I couldn't stop thinking about Sodapop during class.
"(Y/n)?!" The teacher said. I completely zoned out and didn't even noticed. "Uh-yes, yes sir" I said. Everyone laughed and whispered stuff. I rolled my eyes and payed attention. When that class ended Sodapop was waiting outside for me. "Aren't you suppose to be going to class Sodapop Patrick Curtis" I said. "Yes, yes I do but I wanted to go drop you off at your class first" he says. I gave him a little nudge and kept walking. When I got to my class, Soda gave me a hug. It was a weird type of hug, like with a lot of feelings.
We both stared at each other and then snapped out of it. "I should probably go inside now" I said. "Yeah, you should. I'll see you later" he says. I nodded and went inside my class. The whole day the only person on my mind was Sodapop. After school, I walked home on my own. I was thinking a lot about Sodapop, it was weird. "(Y/n)!! Wait up" I heard yelling from behind me. It was Sodapop, he had flowers with him. Okay this is getting out of hand now. "Hey Soda, who's the lucky girl" I said holding the flowers to look at them. "You" he said smiling.
I blushed real hard that even he noticed. "Thanks" I said. Sodapop went for a hug and I hugged him back. "I'll see you later?" He asked. "Yep" I said. I walked inside my house and there were boxes everywhere. "Mom?" I said. "Over here!" my mom yelled out. "What's going on?" I asked. "We're movie the hell out of here" she says. "What? W-why?" I said. "Because I'm tired of living in this messed up neighborhood and everyone is so loud" she says picking up the boxes to our car. "B-but I don't wanna go" I said.
"Well, too bad you're still not old enough to make your own decisions" she says. "Actually mom I am, I'm old enough to make my old decisions. I'm not a little girl anymore, I know what's bad and what isn't so I'm going to stay!" I said yelling out. This is the first time in my life, that I've yelled at my mom. She got up from where she was and slapped me. "No! Okay, you aren't going to stay and that's final!" She yelled out. I cried and ran up to my room. I wasn't crying from the slap, I was crying because the gang is literally like my family.
I don't wanna leave them, and I especially don't wanna leave Sodapop. "Let's go!" my mom yelled out. I went downstairs and walked straight to the car. "At least help your mother out!" my mom yelled out. I ignored her and closed the door. "Fine, don't help but watch when we get to New York" she says. "New York?" I said. "Yes, that's where we're moving to" my mom says. I noticed Sodapop from the other block, he had a book with him. When he saw the boxes, he ran to me. "(Y/n)!" he yelled out. I got out of the car and ran to him. "What's going on?" He asks.
"I'm moving" I said crying. "W-What? Why? No, please don't leave me. Don't leave us" Soda said crying. I cried even more. "Let's get going (y/n)" my mom said. "Bye Sodapop" I said. "No please" He said. "I don't have a choice Soda" I said crying. We hugged for the last time, then we kissed. "No no no, leave my daughter alone" my mom said dragging me inside the car. "Tell the others I said bye, I'll be back soon!" I said yelling out. "Promise!" Sodapop yelled out. "Promise" I yelled out.
3 years later
I graduated high school and I'm finally out of my moms house. I'm living with my boyfriend Max now. "You ready?" Max asks me. "Yup" I said grabbing my luggage. We're on our way to Tulsa, Oklahoma and I'm honestly really excited. When we got to Tulsa, everything seemed the same. The greasers were still greasers and the socs were still socs. We rented a small house the looked familiar. "Oh my gosh" I said. "What? Is something wrong sweetie?" Max asked.
"I use to live here" I said. "Really? I didn't know you lived in Tulsa" he says. I didn't tell Max about the whole story of me living here. "Yeah well, I guess you'll have a good bedtime story today" I said. We unpacked our stuff and fixed the house. "I'll be back sweetie, just gonna go get us some food" Max says. I nodded and finished unpacking. I heard someone outside the porch sitting on the little swing. I kind of freaked out so I checked through the window who it was. It was a guy with a white shirt tucked in his black pants and was wearing black converse, he was writing down on a book. I opened the door and I couldn't believe who it was.
