Ponyboy (part 5)

It was Cherry, she had a blade with her. "What do you want?" I said backing up. "You took everything from me, and by everything I mean Dally. He was finally mine but you barge in and he leaves me all alone" she said getting closer with the blade. "And for that you want to kill me ?!" I yelled out. Cherry covered my mouth and put the blade on my neck. "Here's what we're going to do, you're going to tell Dally to get back together with me and you're going to stop talking to him okay" she said threatening me. I then pushed the blade away from her hand and pushed her to the ground.

She got up quickly and threw me to the ground. We started punching each other and she tried getting the blade that was next to the sink. Two nurses came in the restroom and separated us from each other. "This is a hospital with sick and injured people, not a place to fight in!" one of the nurses said. "Both of you, out" the other nurse said. "No no no please, I need to see a friend of mine" I said. "I'm sorry, but you both need to leave now" the nurse said. I walked out of the hospital and bawled my eyes out. Darry got out out of his car and I hugged him tight.

"What happened in there?" He asked. "They didn't let me see him and Cherry was there, she ruined everything" I said. Darry looked at me all confused but didn't ask any question. He took me back to his house and gave me some dinner. Ponyboy hugged me and gave me some water. "Are you feeling okay now ?" He asked. "Yeah, I just feel anger, because of Cherry I couldn't see Dally" I said. "Cherry?" Sodapop said. I nodded my head.

"Why was Cherry there?" Pony asked. "She just told me to back off and to never talk to Dally again, then we started fighting in the restroom" "what? are you serious?" Darry said. "Yeah, I didn't tell you anything cause I was all angry and stuff" I said. The next day, I went back to the hospital and checked if I could go see Dally. "Sorry ma'am, but the some nurses warned us about you" the nurse said. "Look, my friend may be in horrible condition right now. Put yourself in my shoes, what would you do" I said.

The nurse looked at me with sympathy and gave me the room number. I entered the room and saw Dally laying down, sleeping I think. "Dally, it's me (y/n). We all miss you, and hopefully you get well soon" I said trying not to cry. "I'm sorry for everything, for yelling at you and making you feel like crap" I said crying at this point. A doctor walked inside the room and checked Dally's heart rate. "Still no response of waking up" the doctor said. I looked up at the doctor and gave him a confused look. "He's in a coma, I thought someone informed you this" "in a coma?" I said. The doctor looked at the ground.

He explained to me that Dally's injury caused him to get into a coma. I was speechless, I felt like my whole body was weak. I felt lost, I lost him, it's all my fault. "ma'am?" the doctor said. I looked at him and got up to lay next to Dally. I cried, cried until my eyes got puffy and my head started hurting. "hey (y/n)" I heard familiar voices say in back of me. I looked up and saw the gang with some food and flowers. "Hi guys, what are y'all doing here" I said as I sniffed my nose. "we came to bring you some food and ponyboy brought you some flowers" Soda said.

I smiled and hugged all of them one by one. I then explained to all of them that Dally was in a coma, they all took it not so good. "h-he can't be in a coma, it's Dally come on now" Johnny said. "I know Johnny, but unfortunately he is and we all have to be strong for him okay" I said. They all nodded and looked at Dally. Ponyboy then came up to me and gave me a tight hug. I felt like I needed that hug. "hey, hey, hey, look at me" ponyboy said putting my chin up a bit. I started crying and put my head down again.

"this isn't your fault (y/n), so stop blaming yourself" pony said. "it was my fault pony, i should've never told dally to go out and get me something" I said. Pony looked confused and turned to look at Dally then back at me. The gang left home because it was getting late and I stayed with Dally until he woke up. "(y/n) let's go" Soda said. I shook my head and put my head on Dally's hand. Sodapop then got closer to me and picked me up. "Soda put me down" I said. He didn't say anything then ponyboy came in the room and carried me out to the car.

The next day
I woke up next to ponyboy and he was holding my waist. I saw him peacefully sleeping and heard the way he snored. He is the cutest little bean ever. I tried getting up but I woke him up instead. "where are you going?" ponyboy asked holding me tighter. I chuckled and smiled at him. "Ponyboy, I'm starving. I'm gonna make us some breakfast" I said. "no no no, I'm making us breakfast you stay here and rest a bit more okay" he said playing with my hair. I smiled and nodded, then I gave him a peck on his cheek.

I put on one of his t-shirts and it smelled so good. Then I took one of his sweaters and it also smelled really good. "oh my goodness, this kid smells amazing" I whispered. "why thank you (y/n)" pony said in back of me. I jumped and got all red. "I see you're wearing my sweater and my t-shirt" "umm- yeah, I was just trying it on you know" "you're so adorable" ponyboy said smiling and going down stairs. I felt myself blush and I just sat down on the floor smiling like crazy.

"Are you serious?" I heard Johnny said. "Yes, the doctors said that we can go see him but to be careful because well he just woke up so yeah" Darry said. "What? Dally's awake?" I said in shock. The boys looked at me and smiled except for ponyboy because he was making breakfast. Johnny came to me and hugged me tight. "He's awake (y/n)" Johnny said tearing up a bit. "Oh my goodness, can we go see him Darry?" "Yes, let's go before it's time for me to get to work. Pony you coming?" Darry asked Ponyboy. Ponyboy shook his head.

I looked at him all confused but then left. "is pony alright?" I asked sodapop. "yeah, he's fine. why?" soda asked. "no reason, I just thought he was just... never mind" I said. When we got to the hospital, the doctors let just 3 people go in at a time. All of the boys went in to see Dally except for me, I wanted some alone time with Dally so I said I was going last. "miss, you can see your friend now" the nurse said. I nodded my head and walked inside the room, Dally looked at me with a confused face. "Hey Dal, how are you?" I asked him.

He stayed quiet and kept looking at my face. "Dally, you okay?" I asked. "I'm sorry, who are you?" Dally said. I chuckled and sat next to Dally. "Dally stop playing games, it's me (y/n)" "I'm sorry ma'am, I don't remember you" "Oh come on Dally, that's a load of crap. It's me, (y/n)? we're like best friends" I said. Then that's when I realized, Dallas Winston lost his memories. "Sorry" Dally said. I looked at Dally and hugged him. "I'm sorry Dally, it's my fault you got into this mess" "This isn't your fault ma'am but now that you mentioned it um- what exactly happened to me, why am I here?" Dally asked.

"Cherry, Cherry Valance. She did this to you" I heard someone in back of me said. It was ponyboy, he sat next to me and held my hand. "Hey Dal, how you feeling" "um- sorry who are you?" Dally asked. Ponyboy looked at me, then looked at the ground. "He lost his memories?" Pony whispered. I nodded my head and Pony got up. "Dally look, we're gonna do everything to help you okay" Pony said. I smiled and touched Dally's face. "Thank you" "no problem, and if you need anything just ask the nurse for Ponyboy" Pony said. "Or (y/n), we'll both be here okay" I said. Dally nodded his head and smiled

Now we all have to be ready for whatever comes next. Who knows, maybe I'll be the one to put Cherry in a hospital bed.
